I recently got my hands on "Eye of the Storm" and discovered in the liner notes that Frank boldly professes being a Christian. I have admired his music since 1979 and now I admire the man because of his willingness to share his faith. Just thought I'd say that I am happy to have a "brother in Christ"!

Hi Frank, I haven't heard any of your music lately, but back in 75,76, a friend of mine played me one of your albums....After a recent incident in which I lost almost all of my music collection I am rebuilding it. My favorites have always been Jimi, Pink Floyd, Yes, SRV, but as I rebuild I'm definitely going to add you to my library(I've been re-introduced to you through another recent "friend") Would you ever consider doing a gig in Winnipeg? Pink Floyd played the stadium here several years back...(that was a dream come true) and this last summer I had the honor of seeing Johnny Winter at a club here in the city. How about it? Any plans to come this way??? Sincerely, Rick

The first time I ever heard Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush was at my first Highschool dance at Malcolm Campbell High in 1969 or 70. I remember all the kids being completely amazed by Frank and the group. Last night I saw Frank again at Club Soda and was blown away by four solid hours of some of the best guitar work ever. Seeing Frank in the lights, looking as energetic and together as ever zoomed me back to that night over thirty years ago. I also realised how much I have been by influenced by him to play guitar and how his lyrics and music have remained with me all these years. In 1980 I also experienced a life altering acid trip and became a follower of Jesus as a result. So I can relate to Frank on many levels. Thanks Frank for all the quality music you have given us and also the sincerity and commitment to values, being unwilling to give in to the pressure of the music biz and evil compromise in general. Blessings, Rob

I'm so glad I've found this site! Many thanks for your efforts ,Willy.I've loved Frank since I heard "Something's Comin' Our Way " in a record store in England in 1980. The bit where the wah-wah kicks in just blew me away and I knew I was in guitar heaven. But there was so much more to discover in Frank's playing - to be able to blend blues, rock and jazz with such taste, finesse and sheer virtuosity (and at such a young age too) was unbelievable to me.I still can't believe that "Mahogany Rush IV " was recorded when Frank was only 21, it's such a mature ,accomplished album.I,ve never been able to understand the lack of interest shown by the music business and press - I've written so many letters to music magazines venting my frustration about this...So it's fantastic to find a site dedicated to one of my musical heroes-I,m so happy you're still out there playing and recording,Frank, you're a wonderful human being and a joy to us all and your music is simply majestic.

Wow...I have not looked into Frank since I was a senior in high school in 1993. I learned of him from one of my guitar instructors, and immediately went out and got "double live" and was completely floored. Frank was so ahead of his time-I believe the only guitarist to ever be more ahead of his time was, in fact, Jimi. Keep rockin'...THANKS for many years of great music, and a huge influence. The first time I saw Mahogany Rush was on the World Anthem Tour, I remembering hearing Frank noodling before he came out just thinking I was about too see and hear the second coming of Jesus, needless to say, I was blown away from the opening song The Answer until the end of the show. I was a fan before, but after seeing them live, I was hooked for life. Paul Harwood and Jim Ayub rocked Louisville Ky and left something hard for others to follow. The last time I saw the band was with a whole different line-up and supporting From The Hip in a small club and I actually got to meet Frank and his wife who was pregnant at the time, close to giving birth I think? Needless too say, they were way beyond nice and it was so cool to see them and hear them in a small club. Mahogany Rush should be a household name and the name Frank Marino should roll off the tongue's of all guitarist. I am a bass player and guitarist and he is still a major influence on me as is Paul Harwood. The new album Eye Of The Storm is nothing short of brilliant, I hope it gets the attention it deserves. Thank you Frank for being a roll model and a nice guy too. They say nice guys finish last, but you are number one in my book. I am proud to be part of your Strange Universe.
