wink I don't really know what to say, In the hopes that Frank himself will actually read this, I just want to say, thanks. Thanks for the inspirations.

I have to say that I've been playing the guitar since a judge made me go into a drug rehab TC way back in 1976, when I was16 years young, and the only thing that actually saved me from splitting and running back to the streets of Queens NY in the 70's was this kid that had an Ovation Acoustic, and taught me basic 1st 7 chords, and the 1st 3 main pentatonic positions. I grew up at a great time, being born in 1960.

Wow! I never thought that I will find a FM & MR homepage like this one! It's amazing and I'm glad that Frank is still playing! Unfortunately there are no concerts scheduled for Europe, but I hope he will come also to Europe in the near future. Frank's music has always been important to me and his guitar playing is still one of the best around the world. Personally i don't think its necessary to talk about Franks style being near to Jimi's style, cause Frank has his very own style and his playing is that far outstanding, that there should be no discussion if he is Jimi or not... In fact he ist and always will be Frank Marino, the great!
Thanks Frank for all the fantastic music you gave to us through all these decades!
Thanx, Tom
P.S.
A special message to Willy: I can organize some Russian and hugarian pressings from Franks LPs, are you interested?

I have Been a fan since the 70's. Saw Frank at a place called Comptons Terrace in Phoenix Arizona in about 1980. WOW. Used to listen to Juggernaut when I was in the Navy back in 1983. Bought it in the Phillipines. I feel Frank Marino is one of the most under-appreciated rock-n-roll guitarists and most of all, an artist and songwriter. Thank You Frank Marino.

In the mid seventies, I used to sit and listen to a garage band up the street. They were hippie-types who played a lot of Hendrix, the more psychodelic Beatles tunes, Blues, etc. I remember the singer asking me if I knew who Frank Marino was. They preceded to play a few tunes and I was hooked. I used to have an album that was double-stamped (same songs on both sides) and kept it, going back to the store to purchase another album. Unfortunately, I lost them (along with about 60 other albums) in a flood in Houston. I hope to see Frank when he comes to maryland soon, I missed him at Towson in July.

I had an awesome "flashback" when I saw that you guys will be in Phoenix on Oct 4th - Got tix - Can't wait - In college, I was the "King Bee" when I performed air guitar to your guitar solos for all my buddies (of course when we were all "out of our minds") - Tne most vivid memory was seeing FM & MR open for Johnny Winter at the small theater in Madison Square Garden in 1977 and driving home to Long Island through the Midtown Tunnel tripping my ass off - Funny thing is I remember it all and am proud to consider Frank Marino one of my favorite guitarists and Mahogany Rush one of my favorite bands!!!!!!!!!

Hey Frank. Got into your jamming guitar playing back in 1978 and then saw you at the Penn Jam in Aug 1979 with The Scorpions, Edgar Winter, Ted Nugent and several others. I was hooked. Have not seen you live since around 1990 in Poughkeepsie, NY but I have my tix for the Sept 26th show at Moes in Santa Cruz, CA. Looking forward to great night of heavy jamming guitar.....

iám a fan since 1978 when i heard the live album in 1978 on the dutch radio. it was amzing. most of the bands i like, i've seen live through the years, but frank marino & mahogany rush is not on my list.
For me the sound of the band is amzing and the guitar player is very very good (what's his name?). Hope to have a chance when you are coming to europe. Also a dvd is not bad. i've some footage of'the concert at bromont, and of the don kishners rock concert. that would be a nice dvd of the whole concert.'Most of all i think that you never made commercial rock music and that's very important. So go on and wish you and your friends all the best for the future

Hi Frank,

Love the way you play man. First saw you at Cal Jam. I think you play Purple Haze better than Jimi ( no disrespect ). Keep rocking man.

Frank,
Just thought I'd say HEY! After being a big fan since 1978 in the vinyl days.
I've got several Kramer guitars from the 70's - 1991 or so, and one of your good friends is a member of the Kramer Forum with me. I'm going to try and make the October 10th show in Nashville with my son, can't wait to see you live after all these years Bro!

Keep the torch burning, you ROCK!

Dan

The song "Frank Marino - Stories Of A Hero" still holds true today, thanks to this president that these crazy people voted in office, but that's another topic. Your music has touched me in so manny ways, that I can't discribe.
You know how to touch someone's soul, don't you..? I did LSD in the 70's & 80's. Your the best..!

Dear Frank, Just wanted to let you know just how much I enjoyed your recent show at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit. It's been quite some time since I last saw you perform live and I was totally blown away. I read that you record most if not all of your live performances and was curious to know if there will be any kind of recording released of that show? Anyway, again I must say I cannot recall a performance I enjoyed more in recent (or even distant) memory. Like you my main musical influences came out of the late 60's psychedelic era with Quicksilver, Hendrix, Grateful Dead and Cream being chief among them. So to hear that style again live was a pleasure in itself not to mention your own incredible guitar mastery. Thanks again and hope to see you soon again in the Motor City! Sincerly, Mark Daly
