Hello,

I'm a new fan of yours so I don't have a favorite album of yours yet. A friend of mine from work knows that I love the music of Jimi Hendrix and he told me that if I loved Jimi's work that I would also like Mahogany Rush.I have watched all your stuff on YouTube and he was right , you are awesome and I believe you and Jimi are the two best guitar players I have ever heard. Keep up the great work.

I forgot to mention in my last posting that I saw Frank playing solo (no mahogany rush) , on the bill with Ronnie Montrose, at J.B.s Theatre, in Albany, NY.
P.S. I also ended up playing the Gibson SG exclusively, after I saw Frank in the seventies!
I saw Hendrix at Woodstock. Frank is hands down the second best guitarist I have ever seen in my lifetime!
What a pair, eh?

I've seen Mahogany Rush three times, and they were so good, I can't for the life of me remember who they played with. I remember the lineup was Frank, on guitar, Jim Ayoub, drums and Paul Harwood, bass.
Man, what a band! What a show!

I had no idea that you had made so many albums since "What Next" , I have a lot of catching up to do, just ordered 2 from the website, plan on getting them all sooner or later. I missed the 2006 concert in Mobile, Al - I was in the hospital. Any way to get a recording of that by chance? I'm a big fan from the 70's, glad to see you're still at it.

Well the first time I saw Frank with the mahogany rush band was at the Swing Auditorium in San Bernardino, California in about 1974 or 75. I played guitar like hendrix also. I loved guitarists like Johnny Winters and early Clapton but once I saw Frank play I knew that was the style I wanted to play too!! What an incredable guitarist he was then and still is now.
The solos I love the most are in the songs Ditch Queen , Tales of the Unexpected , Johnny B. Goode , I'm a King Bee Baby and the incredable Rock Me Baby. Frank also did a tribuite song to Stevie Ray Vaughan called "The things (That) I used to do" Frank plays guitar on these songs the same way Thor ripps bolts of lightning from his sledgehammer!!!!!
Frank Marino is truly a gift to the world. I would love to see this Great Artist play live again!!!! Sorry I missed your shows in California last October 2006 but, I'll keep my ears tuned to future tour dates. Still Rockin' with Frank, Gary O. Jones

Dear Frank:

I am now a 50 year-old school teacher, but I remember seeing you in the mid to late seventies. The first time was at the Richmond Coleseum and the second was at a small club called Much More in Richmond Va.

To put it in simple terms, I have never heard any guitar player that can hold a candle to your ability. You are the best ever - By Far!!!!!!!smile

I have Only recently been turned on to Frank Marino's Guitar playing, and I must say he has WoWed me full tilt. I love great guitarist and never thought I would discover anyone with something new to offer. Mr Marino is relentless and tireless and just never runs out of licks, simply said"Unbelievable". If and when he plays in the NJ/NY/Conn. area I'm so there. Mr Marino, God has truly blessed you with Soul in your heart, I hear Santana, Hendrix, Satriano, Vai, you play with such feeling and dextirity. Please stay healthy and continue on your journey around the world with your Guitar, I'm so glad I discovered you in my lifetime. Ciao

Dear mr.marino & everybody who reads this !!

To put it the best I share the the same love of frank marino & mahogany
rush music as willy parsons. My wife bought me real live at a gift for easter
in 2006 . Well a thifteen and a half months later it has not left my cd
player. Wow what a great live cd , I have heard alot of live recordings &
I have been to alot of concerts. real live is the best sounding best mixed
live recording i have ever heard. I saw frank & m-rush last october.
Wow what a great show. three and a half hours of great music by the
best. Dave goode was so exausted he could bearly walk. The rest of the
guys looked pretty tired to. I want to personally thank FRANK,AVI RJ &
DAVE for signing my cds & being jut plain gentlemen.

I want to be first person to get tour dates for 2007. I am taking a
couple of weeks off to follow the band for about for five or six dates.
I could say so much more......but I'll save it for next time. See you at the
