im just so amazed after 20 some years i stumbled onto this page i remember in the late sixties how incrediable this music was and by my standards has to be right up there today......wow this is music that needs to be cranked up all the way .......... i had one of theyre ablums and in the late 80s at home alone put it on and cranked it up not realizing a neighbor had come over and was pounding on the frontdoor......how dare someone interrupt while frank was pounding away with this most awesome music i really never knew that much else about this group, not sure ive seen them live and dont ever know what happen to my vinyl but i do know music and its kings and this group i hope is in there own hall of fame thanks

First and foremost, happy belated b-day to Frank, if I'm not mistaken!
I've recently been turned onto the genius of Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush, and have yet to see him live in concert. As a young (18 year old), aspiring musician, I hope its somewhat excusable. In any event, you've got another fan. crazy Maybe someday, when I hone my skills as a musician/ release a record, a jam session could be arranged. Until then, I'll keep my heart and ears open in hopes of being the change I wish to see. Keep the music alive.

my first Mahogany Rush show was the 77 show at Winterland. the image of the band onstage playing Strange Universe, with Paul Harwood playing the synthesizer on one side, Frank on the other side, the smoke billowing up from the stage, and the thousand lights shining off of the mirrored ball onto the crowd, is still the most memorable ive ever experienced at a concert.

saw 78 at Winterland, along with 2 Days On The Green. 2 shows at The Cow Palace, the Humble Pie show, and the NYE show 79-80. then saw the Slims show in 95.

would love to see another tour. Frank, best wishes to you and your family. thanks for the music.

Longtime fan, originally from Detroit. Saw you perform in Detroit circa 1971/72. Listened to King Bee (live) last night in fact. I thought your interpretation of Norwegien Wood was brilliant, similar in styling to Leslie West's version of Dear Prudence. Disturbing to hear that other musicians (SRV for example) were less than respectful to a fellow artist. Humorous to read about Nugent and his guitar "battle" with you. He did that act quite successfully with Mark Farner but was unable to pull it off with you (or Steve Hunter) apparantly. Best wishes. Please come to Beale Street in Memphis.

Dear Music,
You are THE Mystical, Magical Musician of all time. We tripped 2gether many times in the mid 70s. I wore out all your LPs LOL! Great site! Thanks for the experience! Peace!

Hi Frank,
well, "realLIVE"'s certainly been worth the wait...i discovered you in '79 with your first live album, i've seen you play on your Juggernaut tour in '83, and now finally you've put out the album i've always imagined in my dreams... a "cheers" for your present line-up too, a great band you have there...i'm particularly fond to find "he's calling" and "avalon", i think "eye of the storm" is a killer album...this live album's unbelievable, really! i've never heard anything like it! you bring sheer joy, thanx for that...happy x-mas and a hopeful new year, God bless, and i'll cross my fingers for a european tour....cheers!

Hi Frank,

Maurice

Hey Frank, just a short note to let you know Iv'e been a fan since the 70s. You came to Bakersfield before (civic auditorium) and changed the way I thought about playing,(7 guitar solo's man! yes I counted) and which instrument to use(SG). I own a guitar shop now and wanted to thank you for the inspiration to do alot of the things I have done ever since. I hope someday you do come back, most people think we are all country fans(Buck Owens) but obviously we are not. Take it easy, and keep up the great work!!! Mike.
