I've always admired you since your first album and were in my top ten including Hendrix, Santana, Pink Floyd, Doors, Robin Trower, Jefferson Airplane, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, and Cream. I'm still listening to you.

THE FIRST TIME I EVER HEARD FRANK WAS BACK IN 1979 WHEN I WAS CRUSING THE SAN FERNANDO MISSION WITH MY SISTER AND HER BOYFRIEND IN HIS 72 CHEVY MONTE CARLO. WHEN HE POPPED IN THE MAHOGANY RUSH LIVE CASSET AND DRAGON FLY BEGAN TO PLAY AND THE LED'S ON HIS EQUALIZER JAMMED WITH THE BEAT , I FELL IN LOVE WITH FRANKS TUNES. BAD ASS WEB ...... NICE JOB ................

I have always loved the style in which people like Frank, Jimi hendrix,Robin Trower and Stevie Ray Vaughn played or still do. I have seen Robin Trower on several occasions. The most recent was a couple of years ago at the HOB in Orlando and he was absolutly flawless! His sound would just go right through you. Would love a chance to see Frank play. I've been out of touch with what he's doing these days but if he ever does another tour in the states I would be there. Thanks

I slept, ate, lived, and went about my daily life totally Frank Marino through the early 80s as a teenager. I can remember how much it pissed me off that none of my friends knew who he was and that he wasn't getting the attention or air play that I thought he deserved. I still can't figure it out. Anyway Frank, you were and always will be THE MAN and thanks for all the kick ass rock n roll.

I'VE BEEN AN ADMIRER OF YOUR STYLE OF PLAYING FOR MANY YEARS. I CAUGHT YOU LIVE BACK AT THE OLD DAY ON THE GREENS IN THE EARLY 70'S I'VE BEEN PLAYING APPROX 30 YEARS NOW, AND MY AXE OF CHOICE IS MY 62 SG. ITS HARD TO BEAT THE HARD DRIVING TONES IT PRODUCES, I'LL NEVER LET LOOSE OF IT. I'M SURE YOU WOULD AGREE. CONTEMPERARY BLUES IS MY FAVORITE STYLE. I FEEL THIS STYLE OF MUSIC SEPARATES THE NOISY SUPER FAST LICKS OF ALOT OF ROCK GUITARIST OF THE 80'S AND 90'S, AND ALLOWS THE TRUE TALENT OF THE MUSICIAN TO COME OUT WITH HIS OR HER FEELING AND NOT JUST SHOW! AS A MUSICIAN, I WOULD RATHER SEE AN ARTIST THAT MAKES ME SIT DOWN IN MY SEAT AND TRULY LISTEN, THAN SEE A SHOW OF ACRABATS AND GUITAR LICKS WITH NO FEELING. I HAVE NEVER THOUGHT OF YOU AS HENDRIX'S CLONE. I SAW HENDRIX AND THERE IS ONLY ONE. YOUR STYLE IS YOUR OWN, AND I PLACE YOU WITH THE GREATS: TROWER, HENDRIX, CLAPTON,SRV,SANTANA AND SO MANY MORE. AS A MUSICIAN YOU KNOW WHERE I'M GOING WITH THIS. THERE'S NOTHING BETTER THAN PLAYING FROM THE HEART RIGHT? KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK OF SONG. HOPE TO HEAR SOME NEW BLUES FROM YOU SOON!

Wow, I saw you at St. Francis College in Pennsylvania back in the mis-seventies. You were the opening act for the Guess Who. Not sure if you remember, but we booed the Guess Who to get you back on stage. Next thing you know they quit playing and said they could play the guitar too. Wrong thing to say. They continued, but the fire was gone and I really did like the Guess Who. I remember telling people after that show that you were the next Hendrix and then you disapeared. How good of a judge am I though, some friend got some tickets to see Kiss and Rush and I left there saying they weren't talented and would never make it. Still think I'm right and then disco. What a waste But that was the first time I had ever heard of you and have told anyone when talking about guitarists that you are as good as anyone I've ever heard. I just got the computer and thought I'd search for this guy named Marino that I saw years ago and BAM there's this website. I'm listening to you trailer and it's bringing back those memories. I'm 47 now and man I'm back in that time again. Nice song, great guitar and after seeing the list of albums you've put out I'll be buying. In fact I have a few friends that need to hear this. I'll tell you what, after reading your bio I realize how closely our lives parelleled. By the way, I quit drugs and heavy drinking in 1980, the day my daughter was born. Swear she sometimes makes we want to start back up, but that's life. Good luck and hope to catch you in concert the next time your in the area. Gary

Can't wait for the new live set. 3cd's would have been fine Frank- it would be great to have a complete concert from start to finish- but it sounds like you're doing an amazing editing job on it. You're unique Frank, the way you blend rock, blues and jazz with a psychedelic twist, combining incredible speed, power and fluency with wonderful subtlety, taste and harmonic complexity. Seeing you live is a mind-blowing,goose-pimple-raising,unforgettable experience. Please come back to the U.K. soon and do some full-length gigs-it's a crime limiting you to 40 minutes! Favourite Marino moments I'm into right now : the jazzy coda to "It's begun to rain", the unison scat/guitar solo on "Lady", the quiet solo section of "I'm a King Bee"(great vocals!) and the cranked up,wah-wah lift-off on "Something's comin' our way".Beautiful...

You guys were the first band I ever saw live. It is an experience I will never forget. The summer before 8th grade a group of friends bought tickets to see Kansas (the 1978 Monolith Tour). Frank and the band was opening for them so before the concert I went out and bought "Tales of the Unexpected" so we could know who they were before the concert. I will never forget that night. Thanks for the memories. Chris
