Saw Frank play in Cleveland last night. Un-frickenbelievable !! Frank, thank you soooo much for the supreme effort you put into your show. I never got so much entertainment for my dollar, ever. The band played for at least 3 hours. Some of the most amazing sounds I have ever heard coming from a guitar. Frank played like a man possessed. He didn't want to stop. The whole band was tight. The crowd was mesmorized. Every person I saw was into Frank. Frank, now that you know how much we all love you, you must play some more gigs. Heck, c'mon back to Cleveland every weekend! I love you guys, from all the way back at the beginning till now. I only wish you had your new CD available at the show, and T shirts of course : )

Well, the truth be told i havent heard any frank marino music in quite some time, i got into the blues scene and forgot all about him. Just the other day i remembered his name and decided to look him up and see if he was still playing. I think i will get his new c.d. and take a listen.

I am 45 years of age (same as Frank) and have been religously listening to his great music for the last 25 years. I too grew up with the same love of music as Frank such as Cream, J.Hendrix, Doors, J.Winter etc. and have not changed listening to genre of music despite having teens of my own. In fact my kids and their friends are in awe of Frank Marino's guitar wizardry and that I still listen to this great stuff. I can't wait for "Eye of the Storm" to come out. I have listened to many great guitarists since the early 70's but no one stands out in my mind as Frank does. Keep on doing it Mr. Marino, as you bring a smile and a rush to me each and every time I listen to your CD's. Tony Spinelli Kirkland, Quebec

It's really interesting to find such a crowd of devoted fans that are into the same kind of artists that I'm into. I love Franks music. I'm a child of the 70's and remember vividly the California Jam II concert. I wasn't there but fortunately they broadcast it here in Greenville SC. Late at nite as you might guess. My friends and I would stay up really late and watch it. When Frank and MR would hit the stage we would go nuts. It was broadcast several times and I guess that's what my friends and I became such fans. We immediately went out and bought the live lp. Later I purchases Tales of the Unexpected and What's next? Loved the album cover on that one. I had a friend who always worked on cars and it seemed like something like that was always happening to him. Although not quite as dangerous. Love the music Frank. Keep up the good work. ED

Hey Willy & Frank, Just found a couple tunes of yours. Stories of a Hero and one called Things That I Used to Do. This is supposed to be a rare one? Only downloaded it because it had your name on it. Haven't listened to it yet. What do you play/do on it? When was it done? Thanks. C-ya!! Keep up the great site Willy

Frank is one of the most underrated guitarists on the scene today, which is a shame. I'm still waiting for that blues album that I know he is capable of. I know it's coming soon cause life is too short and patient loyal fans are always rewarded.I've gotten older but his music is still in my soul. I thought he got washed away by the wave of sound alike bands but I see that he's storming back. Come on Frank give us that blues!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been a Frank Marino fan since 1970! Turned many a folk on to the sounds of Mahogany Rush over the years. Seen the band in venues from large concert halls to small clubs. As a musician (I play guitar too, 1969 Gibson SG, 1971 Stratocaster, 2000 Washburn) I really appreciate the talent and effort that Frank puts into all his offerings. If you have never seen Frank Marino live, do yourself a favor. You won't be dissapointed! A note to Frank....Dude, we really miss you in the south. I am formerly from Houston, TX but now in Denver, CO. Come to Denver and lets make Red Rocks ROCK!!!! Love ya bro!

I first heard Frank's music in England in 1979 when I lived there (my Dad worked for Uncle Sam). He blew me away with his playing on "Broken Heart Blues" and "Hey Little Lover". In 1981 I was in the Philippines (by then working for Uncle Sam myself) and heard "Sister Change". I have been listening to whatever I could get my hands on ever since (which I hate to say is not much) until I discovered this website tonight 07/15/2000 while surfing the web. Salvation!!!! I prefer the guitarists from the 70's as opposed to today's players, the only exception being Greg Howe (who I am incidentally friends with because he is from Easton, PA). Pat Travers, Alex Lifeson, Robin Trower, Roy Buchanan, Ritchie Blackmore, Rory Gallagher (RIP), Neil Schon, Alvin Lee, Al Di Meola, Gary Moore, Brian May, Michael Schenker and I could go on and on. I am glad I found this website and will check on it an a regular basis. Peace and Cheers!!!!

I'VE BEEN INTO THE MUSIC OF THIS VIRTUOSO SINCE 1982 WHEN A FRIEND TURNED ME ON TO "JUGGERNAUT" . AFTER THAT , I WENT OUT AND PURCHASED EVERYTHING BY MAHOGANY RUSH ON VINYL . I CAUGHT FRANK LIVE IN 1991 AT CLUB BENE IN SAYERVILLE NEW JERSEY AND HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR HIM TO PLAY LIVE AROUND HERE AGAIN SINCE . IT'S GREAT TO SEE FRANK MARINO'S UNSURPASSED TALENT NOT GOING TO WASTE . THE MAINSTREAM IS SO POLLUTED WITH UNTALENTED GARBAGE (RAP , RAPCORE , GRUNGE , ALTERNATIVE..ECT) THAT MUSICAL STANDARDS IN THE PAST 10 OR SO YEARS ARE LOWER THAN THE FLOOR . AMONG MY FAVES: FRANK MARINO , DEEP PURPLE , UFO , BLUE OYSTER CULT , KANSAS , MONTROSE , GARY MOORE , IRON MAIDEN , NUGENT , GREAT WHITE , SAGA , PAT TRAVERS , MOLLY HATCHET , FOGHAT , APRIL WINE TO NAME A FEW . THESE MUSIC GODS STILL PLEASE THERE FANS TO THIS DAY . GODSPEED TO ALL TRUE MUSIC FANS !!

There's a new website located at http://www.srswowcast.com/index.shtml, and they've got big plans. It's set to begin operation later this month. Their intention is to give a forum to independent bands to showcase their music in the most advantageous way, and they're currently asking for submissions. SRS Labs, which started the site, holds the patents on some of the best stereo enhancement technologies I've heard. Their proprietary stereo seperation and bass enhansement discoveries enable them to deliver an unbelievable, full sound through tiny computer speakers -- definitely a must to fully appreciate the Mahogany Rush experience! More exciting still is the fact that they'll be broadcasting live concert performances at the site! Also to be featured: Interactive music communities, music chat lounges and a whole lot more. The fact that this site is devoted to unsigned, independent artists so they can promote and control their own product without putting up with large record company B.S. makes me think that the timing for a Frank Marino comeback was perfect! I hope you'll consider getting involved with this, Frank -- especially as early in the game as it is for this site. I look forward to the day when I can watch a Mahogany Rush concert performance on my computer.

Wow! A whole site devoted to Mahogany Rush! I've been a Frank Marino fan since first hearing his music played by DJ Jim McInnes on San Diego's KGB-FM radio in 1975. McInnes proceeded the song by telling the car crash version of the "spirit of Jimi" tale! Incidentally, Willy, I envy the hell out of you for making it to that 1977 San Diego Civic Theatre Mahogany Rush show with the unbelievable $2.50 ticket price! I've been kicking myself ever since for not being able to catch that one. Anyway, having heard nothing of Mahogany Rush in years -- save for a snide crack in one of the Wayne's World flicks (ah well, as a Canadian I guess Mike Myers was entitled) -- and being new to the Internet, you can imagine what the first thing I typed into a search engine was. That's right: "Nude Asian Dwarves." But after the novelty of that wore thin I went looking for current info on Frank Marino, which brought me to the site of a Las Vegas female impersonator. I could only shake my head in dismay while mourning how the mighty had fallen...until I realized this wasn't the Frank Marino I was looking for. Our Frank Marino ought to consider doing a show with the Las Vegas guy on vocals and that jazz guitarist named Frank Marino on second guitar -- just to confuse people. So I finally landed at this site and what a site it is. Informative, updated regularly -- you couldn't have done a better job, Willy. And Dead Elvis Productions deserves a tip of the pompadour for showing that a site can be informative without appearing cluttered. The entire layout has a nice sense of balance to it; a real rarity on the Web. The only thing I'd add to it would be an addition to those nifty looking thin red, white & blue stars & stripes bars that serve as separators of sorts on some pages. I'd add just below them a thin white bar with red ends and tiny red maple leaves on it in honor of Frank's homeland! Like all Marino fans, I can't wait to get my hands on his new album. No pushing and shoving, folks. All the new fans to the back of the line. WELCOME BACK, FRANK!

I just LOVE the way he jams the guitar!!! I've seen him many times at Harpo's in Detriot - he's definately one of my favorite 'live' guitarists. Can't wait to see him again! and again.....

I first heard your music when I was around nine years old. I then went and begged my father for a guitar. I am now 34 years old and Frank Marino live is on my c.d. player almost every day. I lost track of you for a while but the music on that c.d. never left my mind or my soul. I still play my guitar every day and feel that because of great guitarest such as your self have made a great impact on my life. Thank you for the great music.

In 1972, after returning from the Navy in Vietnam, I returned home to Northern Vermont in a small community 50 minutes south of Montreal. I had the priveledge of meeting a young man from Montreal named Peter. Peter had the most beautiful blonde sister whose name today has escaped me. for that I am sorry. However, Peter introduced me to Frank and his younger brother. I had the chance to hear the album Maxoom on Vinyl. It was wonderful. I went back to college in Burlington, Vermont and began to play Franks' music to anyone who would listen. I had a close friend named Richie Sobel who was a D J at the University radio station. Requests began to pour in. Somehow a concert was arranged in Burlington, Vermont at the old Flynn Theatre in downtown. I was in the 10th row center. His performance was beyond reproach of even the greatest guitar players I had ever heard. The performance was stunning. The crowd came out of its seats from the very first note. His blues still ring in my ears from that night. Someone later told me it was Franks first trip for a concert in the U.S. If that is accurate, I would like to feel I had a part in helping to break the barrier for Frank to play in America. I would like to wish Frank the very best Always...Jim
