I saw Frank for the first time in 1979 at the Long Beach Arena. It was set up ampitheatre style and the light show was the best I had ever seen. I saw Frank again in Long Beach on the bill with Russia, a local band, Angel, a group of glam-rock wanna-be's, and Humble Pie. Frank was the headliner and provided us with an outstanding show. Including a 45-minute guitar solo. I still have the L.A.Times review of the show. Then I saw and talked with Frank at the Salinas Show in 1983. At the Sherwood Hall. Remember the titles of the albums seem to have a story when read together. I gave Frank a copy of the list of titles, before the show. I also asked Frank about "Strange Universe", and told him how I had found a pristine copy in the Used bin at Cheap Thrills Records in San Luis Obispo, California, after I had talked to Frank at Columbia Records in New York while he was mastering the Juggernaut album. That night in Salinas was recorded for the BBC Rock Hour. Frank pulled out Strange Universe. He also performed Poppy. The next time I saw Frank was in the LA area in 1989 at the Coach House also another nightclub in Redondo Beach, unfortunatly the Riverside County dates were canceled. Frank really wowwed us with great verisons of Poppy, different each night, and many favorites. Frank I now Live in Chico, California, the Music scene here is outstanding.
