ill always loved goood plain rock´n roll and was collectin a lot of records and i thought that i had heard it all. But i hadent. Suddenly one day i got home from one of my collector pal´s with a tape he had recorded for me, and the first song i heard on the tape was " Woman " Wow what a feeling when i got in to song and enterd a whole new area of my life. Wich i still is stock in ! While the song was playing i got chills down my spine, i´d never heard a man play that good, and live too. since that i started to collect Frank Marino´s Records, which dragged me further in to Frank´s Guitar play, and i loved every tune. Since That ivé been a dedicated Frank Marino Fan. Keep on the good work Frank!!!!! With Love Bogi Helgason...........

The experience was like the first time you saw your wife or girlfriend or like a dodge viper or even better, learning that Jesus Christ is alive. God bless.

Remember Don Kirshners Rock Concert, well ever since hearing Strange Universe I fell in love with Mr. Marinos music, the rest as they say is history. I've seen him every time he plays in the area (5 times only). Please let me know the next time He's in the Albany, New York area. I'm 44 years old and I'm starting to learn to play guitar, (tell me it's silly at my age), but I can't contain the passion. If I only learn to play one song w/ feeling, hey, that will be the ultimate trip for me, I hope I can do it. Anyway that's enough blabbing, to Frank Marino Band and fans, Live Long and prosper. I just recently discovered Frank and Mahoghany Rush last year when I purchased Dragonfly. So far it is the only cd I have but that will change soon because I have become a big fan.I love Frank's style of playing. He rips it up like I wouldn't believe. The first time I heard Johnny B. Goode my jaw dropped to the ground! The first time I heard of Frank was actually years ago in an interview with Zakk Wylde in Guitar For The Practicing Musician.Zakk is the guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and he cited Frank as one of his influences.I guess it's better late than never to discover a great artist.I can't wait to get his other cd's and I hope he tours and comes around to my area because I will definetly see him.Other favorite artists:Rush,Van Halen,Ozzy,Cheap Trick,Pat Travers,Alice In Chains,AC/DC,Kiss (man the list goes on...)

when i was about 12 or so, there was this kid that lived a few houses down from me, and he could play great guitar. he was a couple years old than me and showed me alot on the guitar. he also turned me on to mahogany rush-child of the novelty.that album truely amazed me and i still dig it and the entire frank marino/mahogany rush catalog. in 1975? i saw them in sacramento with black sabath and a band called grey ghost. marino rocked !!! he played a sunburst strat that looked like a relic. also saw him in 77 at a day on the green show in oakland. yo frank if your out there, thanks for everything! yer biggest fan ... mike warren.

Frank Marino, Paul Harwood and Jim Ayoub helped shapemy young life with their awe and wonder inspiring music.Definitely unique and creative and right on with where my mind was at at that time. My favorite band out of so many good hard rock bands during that time. Never to be Forgotten by your fan Jeff S. P.S. Still too good today compared to the present uninspiring and untalented music being offered. Other favorite bands: Pat Travers, UFO, Led Zep, early Queen, Ted Nugent

My brother turned me on to Mahogany Rush back in 1974 and the rest is history. I bought every album that came out within the first week it was released except when I was in the Navy from 75-79. I turned on many of my fellow shipmates and we even had a party that featured nothing but Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush music in 79 just before I got out. I heard the next day it was a kick- ass party by all who attended and most had not even heard of F & MR before that. To this day I am still buying CD's to replace the albums that I have made numerous cassette recordings of to listen to in my car. I hope that all of the talk of a tour and new album are true because I would really like to see them LIVE again. I saw them at California Jam 2, San Diego and St.Louis, but those are ancient history now. A new album and concert dates would be unbelievable! Also, thanks for the great website dedicated to my personal guitar hero, Frank Marino.

I have been a fan since the early 70's when a friend of mine, while we were in the military, in Germany, turned me on to Frank. Yeah, a lot of people say he ripped Hendrix off, but that just isn't at all true. Frank has a unique style that is blues based, heavy and melodic. The phrasing he uses creates some great riffs that are used by many guitarist because of their fresh, unique hooks. Frank is a great guitarist and among the most talented of all time! All I can say at this point, is, if you haven't experienced Frank, there is only one way. Give him a listen. You won't be dissapointed!!! Mike

As a guitar player myself, listening to Frank play was a tremendous enlightenment especially in the realm of the "turnaround" sequences he used(es) for ending a 12 bar section....He's a great player Ill never forget the feeling I get when I listen to King Bee

Frank is a great player with innovative sounds and expersssive styling. Never saw an SG do so much!!! (although Atomik Tommy M came close). Frank should be on tour so us aging guys can revisit our highschool musical high-points again, and so he can win over new fans with a mix of progressive sounds, heart and soul, and amazing "oldies". Go for it!!!

Growing up in Sacramento in the Seventies, many of us observed how the music and poetryof Jimi Hendrix was reproduced in many forms after hisdeath, in much similarity to the way that Stevie Rayis posthumously "carried on" today.......Unlike todayhowever, where most of Stevie's (Ray Vaughn's) imitatorscan only reproduce maybe his tone or his "licks",(there really is only so much you can say when confining yourstyle to one influence in the blues idiom if you havenothing original to communicate yourself.)--Frank Marinostood out to us, it seemed, as the one "disciple"of Jimi'smusic that deserved to get away with ....not merely nailing his (Jimi's) licks, or copping his vocal phrasing in a similar but more powerful way, but to also be the one that manycould look to to evolve the music in a fashion that would bothsatisfy the artistic void left by Jimi's premature death, but alsoprovide a logical, meaningful direction in which, maybe hismusic would have gone had he lived....or maybe......simply.....Frank just knew he could "flesh out" some of whatneeded to be finished saying, but in his own ORIGINALway......(We always used to privately ask ourselves why,in God's name someone who was doing things ala Hendrix would choose a Gibson SG to do it with..Bravo! Frank for NOT using a strat.).......I just remember the first time my brother turned me onto "Strange Universe".......I wasn't stoned, or 'tripping'........I just sat there listening to track after track of jaw-dropping wizardry that was as compelling in its composition as it was demonstrative of the obvioussheer genius coming from the fingers of his hands.....only a natural talent could play the way he did...andprobably still does......(Hint-Hint...we want more)

Well, this will strictly a guest book theme entry.I drove from Toronto in 1982 to see Frank at the Spectrum for 2 nights in Montreal over his birthday. While back east in 91, I saw Frank in Buffalo at Impaxx by driving there from T.O. I also got to see Frank in T.O. in 86.This time, I'm taking the ultimate trip just to see Frank play. This is how much his musicianship and professionality have impressed me. This is how much it means to me personally, that a hometown boy can become the greatest guitar player of his day. Montreal used to rock along time ago, and it does again with Frank's decision to tour. This time, I make the pilgrimage from Vancouver, BC to Quebec City, a journey of nearly 4000 miles to see Frank. They say music can move mountains. Frank Marino's music has so impacted me in my life that I'll bring the mountains to QC in order to see Frank play live!! ROCK ON Frank!! I'll be sure to submit a review of the show to site after my return!!

I send a lot of love (beads, freedom, happines)from the Frank Marino fan club in Bulgaria. We love your music, but cannot know all of it, for it is not distributed officialy here. We exchange pirate copies with each other. how about a tour in Bulgaria? I bet you'l have quite a crowd of ageing hipies and young rock fans.
