Have been a fan since I picked up Maxoom at J. C. Penny in Fairmont MN. After that grab all I can. I originally thought I was buying something by rush. Loved the cover. You know, I never did buy any Rush. Can,t say I have a favorite. Always thought they were all good. Still con- tinue to listen to them all quite frequently. I'm 42 years old and have played your work for my kids countless times over the years. Early on they kinda laughed and said dad that's bad, but my youngest started listening a little more intently now that some are on CD. He doesn't own a turntable and he can't use mine until he understands how delicate these albums by you are to me. MY oldest 23 who is handicapped started playing guitar some years back would play a few licks of yours for me. It made me feel pretty good. So one day I walked in and told him I felt he had finally gotten to me and I handed him a Gibson. The next time he kicked out a few licks of Strange Dreams it made me tear up a little bit. Frank there's one thing I haven't done yet and that's attend a show. My wife and I will be traveling around a little bit this summer celebrating our 25th anniversary and I told her that we would try to take in one of your shows if we happen to be in the right place at the right time. She said, "What about Jimmy Buffett?" I said you can catch him another time but after 25 years of want- ing to get my face blown off by Frank and his machinery I'll take the latter. So I better head back to the show dates page and see where to go from there. Thanks for enter- taining me the way I like it so very much. Glen

MY FAVORITE ALBUM IS WHATS NEXT. THIS RECORD SOUNDS BETTER THAN MOST BANDS LIVE STUFF. ITS PURE ENERGY ESPECIALLY FINISH LINE AND SOMETHINGS COMING OUR WAY, WHICH ARE THE SONGS I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR LIVE.

It seems that I'm the only female to sign the guest book for a while. Let me just say it's a priviledge! Frank Marino YOU ARE MARVELOUS!!!!! Now that I have found you again...... don't forget Houston when setting up your tour schedule. You made my world with 'Strange Universe'. I had the honor of meeting you and the band after your concert, hanging out playing pool with my brothers you came over and joined us. It was in Houston around 1976, I was young and timid, my older brother asked if you would give me a kiss it would make my life complete (he thought it would embarrass me). You walked up to me and kissed me, I was stunned it took my breath away. This was definately one of the best moments of my life.

Hello Mr. Marino, Just like to say thanks for the music. My older brother turned me on to you in '81 when I was in high school. He bought me the live album and I still play it today. As a guitar player myself, I've always liked the way you play. I'd have to say that behind Page, you're one of my favorites. I still enjoy hearing you jam on Johnny B. Goode, I'm a King Bee, and Electric Reflections of War. If I may, what type of scale voicings are you using in "I'm a King Bee" when the solo's change from a country pentatonic and blues pentatonic sort of thing to a "jazzy" type of thing? You do it a couple of times during the song when the 7th chords are kinda going up from the 4th to the 5th and back down again to the 4th and finally back to the root. Just thought I'd ask. Thanks again for the great playing! I'll enjoy it always! Sincerely, Brian Hearn bhearn@freed.org

Love the page. I'm glad to finally find that I am not alone in my appreciation of one of the finest artists I have ever seen. I saw Mahogany Rush three times in the late seventies and early eighties. I was changed, for the better, forever. I saw what music could be and where it could take you. I hope I get the chance to see Franke live again someday. Until then, I'll keep crankin' up "Dear Music" and "Moonlight Lady" until the neighbors complain!

I'm a fan of 27 years of Frank Marino. I think that all vinyl that Frank released should be on CD form. If it already is were can I buy it? We want Frank to come play close to Cincinnati! If he is coming anywhere within 150 miles of Cincinnati email me at: sexyb3@fuse.net. It would be the 10th time for me to see him! Frank, the first time that I saw you was at The Ohio River Valley Music Festival" at Nippert Stadium in The University of Cincinnati! The first song that you played was "Tryin' anyway". I also saw you at the Victory Theater in Dayton, Ohio in 1975. The admission fee was only $2.00 and I threw half a bag of weed up to you and my buddy threw a big esmarelda joint on stage. You lit the joint up on stage and put the weed away! In 82, I saw you at the Rockers in Houston Texas. I've also seen you in Louisville at the Louisville Summer Jam Two. Including other venues as well! I'm the guy with the whistle always in the front row, come back!!! Thanks for the memories and hope to see you soon! P.S. I have some pictures of you from Louisville that you might want to see!!! Thanks, Brian Frech

I had to look up FRANK on the web -- I am a very longstanding FRANK MARINO & MAHOGANY RUSH fan -- I feel that FRANK is truly one of OR the most underrated overlooked guitarist/musicians on this planet -- you always hear about EDDIE VAN HALEN but, people like me FRANK & all you other MAHOGANY RUSH fans really know who inspired EDDIE'S playing --- my favorite FRANK MARINO & MAHOGANY RUSH song is "AINT DEAD YET" off the "POWER OF ROCK-N-ROLL" this is truly the rock anthem OF ALL rock anthems -- I aint thru rockin cause I "AINT DEAD YET" -- thats me from the cradle to the grave I came in this world rockin and I will damn sure leave it that way -- I am just about to turn 40 years old and I aint about to put on my huggies and wither away in old age listening to this SISSY music of today with absolutly no muscle what so ever -- I bet they can't get it up no more -- I hope FRANK will continue to set new standards for which we base our most fundamental beliefs through music -- I hope that he will keep kickin ass with "YOUNG MAN" -- "AINT DEAD YET" --- JUGGERNAUT" --- "TALKIN BOUT A FEELIN" --- " A NEW ROCK-N-ROLL ---- "MONA" --- "ROCK-N-ROLL HALL OF FAME" --- "SOMETHING'S COMIN' OUR WAY" ---- "FINISH LINE" ----- --- I would not want to hear FRANK PLAY any other way as long as he "AINT DEAD YET" I want to see him literally kick ass --- I guess you can tell what my favorite song is -- I CAN"T HELP IT - I am possessed by this song and can't get it out of my head --- if I ever get the great pleasure of ever seeing FRANK play live again -- I hope I hope I hope I hope I hope I hope I hope I hope -- I HOPE!!! that I will get to hear "AINT DEAD YET" literally wail -- that is all for now will keep in touch

The first time I remember hearing or seeing Mahogany Rush was on Don Kirshner's Rock concert in 1975 or 76. As a rule I tried to watch this program every week and on this particular night my father was watching as well. I can't remember who else was on the show but I was blown away by Franks guitar work. I looked at my dad and he was sort of sitting there in amazement. This really amazed me as well. You see my father was a career man in the Canadian military and anything that seemed to be non traditional or unorderly in any way was crap to him. He hated my long hair and the 'noise' as he put it, when I played my guitar, but on that night I finally sensed a connection with him, or at least something we could agree on. Frank and the boys were awesome. Some things really prove it is a Strange Universe. Thanks Frank. By the way my dad is 65 now and is a real cool guy.

Great web site!! I'm New to the net and Frank Marino was the first search I requested.Been a true fan since 1976.Own the whole collection of albums and CDs with Live being my favorite. After seeing FM&MR in concert 6 times and witnessing them kick every headliners ass they ever opened for including the Nuge's,one concert still puzzles me and that one is the Florida Worlds Music Festiaval in Orlando in 1978.Frank only got through 2 or 3 songs and then proceded to demolish all the equipment, stage and props. Was wondering what went wrong that day?Too hot? Can't wait for the new CD to be released and hopefully see you tour the Southeast soon.On tour would love to hear Door to Illusion and posssibly some newer blues influenced tunes. You are a rock god and vissionary.Godbless and keep praying for world Peace.

Hope it's a huge success. Favorite album, Juggernaut!! Great work on the L.A. Blues projects. Ya know, everytime in the a CD store, if I can find any of your CD's, I always place them in the front of the rack so they stand out. When I visit the next time they are usually gone. Just trying to prove a point to CBS. RELEASE the CD'S!!!!!!! THEY WILL SELL. I'll buy double cpoies of each myself. Thanks for the jams. You're the BEST.
