A friend of mine turned me on to Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush many years back, and I have been a fan ever since. It's really interesting how the true talents in the ROCK 'bidnis never make the pages of Rolling Stone. But, then again, I wouldn't even wipe my ass with a copy of Rolling Stone! ...Spice Girls, anyone?

I would like to know how to find the Frank Marino Music Library on Compact Disc. Where can I purchase them? Also, when is Frank going back on the road, and can us "southern boys" expect the master to make an appearance?

Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush have proven to have the BEST Rock and Roll playing ability and talent ever displayed by a band! OFFICIALLY Frank Marino and the guys was the first concert that I attended. They appeared at a theater in Chicago in 81 or 82 (?) on 59th and Kedzie after this totally lame local band opened. My friend's father booked him to play (he owned 49% of the theater) after Helen Reddy opened up the theater about a month earlier(SHE SUCKED!) It was the most memorable Rock n Roll evening that I've seen. This man has an undying dedication to the music and has the talent to back it up. Thanks for releasing the SONY disc: Dragonfly: The Best of Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush. Quality Stuff!!!!

When I saw Frank play in the late 70's at the Hollywood Sportatorium in South Florida, I remember never having heard anything like some of the sounds coming from his guitar, EVER! Reading the Aerosmith autobiography brought back a lot of memories for me, and reminded me of one my all-time FAVORITE shredders, Frank Marino. Can't wait to see you again.

I got introduced to Frank's music when I joined a "copies" band as a bass player in the late 70's in southern Texas that almost entirely played Frank's stuff. (We also played a some of Hendrix.) Those were some great times! Also saw Frank in concert in San Antonio then. I can't remember all the songs he played but I do remember one long and awesome solo. I have yet to hear anyone else even come close to what I heard that night! Since then, Frank's music has become the "yardstick" against which I measure all other bands. You're still the king!

learned about Frank from Mike Winchell in Indiana-told me I should listen and learn(Mike also played a battered SG with soul & speed). Anyways, I got Frank Marino 'Live', listened, learned, and that's about the time when I found myself, musically. I play more like Mr. Trower, but thanks, Frank. You opened my ears. I hope you could do a blues project-it's difficult to play something fresh and alive in the blues, but I betcha Frank can!!

Great stuff... I've been a fan since the early 70's. I have seen Mahogany Rush 3 times. The last time was in SD at a concert called the rock and roll marathon. There was several groups the only other group I can remember is Humble Pie. Mahogany Rush was last. Man it was great... Thanks for years of excellent music and you are and always will be the best ever.

Thanks for visiting my site Frank. As you can see I've come by to your site. I'd never heard of you before, but the bands history sounds interesting. If your music is 'hendrixy', it's the type of music I like, so I'll see if I can get hold of some of your CD's if. Do you ever tour in Australia? If you plan to I'd be interested in seeing the band live. Take care
