Frank, My friends Jim and Tracy Gray, and myself were able to meet with you after your last performance in Fort Worth at Caravan of Dreams. (1993?) Much belated congatulations on your child. Your wife was very pregnant at the time we met you both, as was Tracy. I told you that i knew you better as a racer than a musician before that night. The only song of yours i was familiar with was "Strange Dreams". I had heard it on the radio in the early 80's and never knew who had done it, though i always wondered. When i heard you play it that night at the Caravan, it opened a door to a whole other world of musical enjoyment. I had always thought you were great, but did'nt know who you were! Now i have all the cd's you have in print, and look forward to your new one, and all other re-releases. There's a lot of no talent garbage dominating the music scene right now. They REALLY need your influence! Hoping to see you tour again soon, if not, I'LL AT LEAST GET TO BLOW MY SNOTTY NEIGHBOR'S OUT OF THEIR HOUSE WITH THE NEW CD! Later, Cliff Payne ( Big Fan!)

My friends and I still talk about the shows we saw Frank play over twenty years ago. Without a doubt, he's the best live act ever to take the stage.

I saw Mahogany Rush when they backed-up Kansas at the Boston Garden in 1977. Loved them then and still do. I would love to see them again. Some of the greatest riffs ever.

It was so nice to find out that the greatest guitarist who has ever plucked a string is alive and well.I never have forgotten the way his soul played out in his music, the kind of talent, or gift that strikes me deep in my heart when i hear it played At one time or another I have heard just about everything he has ever played, and it will always be the sound that I can feel, not just hear. I would love to hear him play live, southern oregon would never be the same again.all the posers would probably seriously consider giving up the guitar ,if only they could hear him play.A true talent like the world has seen only in a few chosen individuals

How can you pick a favorite record? I love them all. My first taste of Mahogany Rush was back in 1973 when one of my friends (ironically) went to buy a tape from a band called Rush he had heard of and came back with Maxoom "by mistake"(on 8 track). Been hooked ever since. Saw Frank live 3 times, once for the recording of the Live album. My ears are still ringing! I think its a downright shame he never got the radio play he really deserved down here, but "we" knew who he was! I have the whole collection on vinyl up to Juggernaut. Come back to New Orleans. I'll be there. Great web site you have here Willy. Thanks.

Hello Frank, The first Frank Marino album I listened was "LIVE" way back in 1987 in Bangladesh. My cousin brought it for me from Egypt. I was fortunate enough to see you on stage in early 90s in Montreal. Its too bad that your stuff are so hard to find. When I walk into music stores now, I always check for your CD because that gives me an indication of how rich their collection is.I think you are one of the greatest guitarist. Eagerly waiting for your new album and see you on stage. Thanx to Willy for such a great website.

Frank, My first major rock concert that I ever attended was in 1974 in Mt. Prospect Il, a northwestern suburb of Chicago at the Randhurst ice arena. Heart was the headliner with some backup band. That backup band turned out to be the most influential of all bands throughout my life. I own a recording studio because of my avid love for music and Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush had a lot to do with that. After experiencing you playing guitar, I kept telling people that Heart was great but Marino blew them away! Now there's a real rock band. I think it is great that you continue to come to the Chicago area and hope to see you and your band again soon.

Absolutely amazing! Frank Marino on the web! I was having a "remember this band/album" conversation at work two days ago and I said "Hey...how about Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush?" Two people had eyes open wide with a certain sparkle of fondness. "Yes! We remember!" and then spent half an hour discussing the music. I decided I would check out the web for info and VIOLA! Here I am, revelling in everything Frank Marino. My first real taste of the music was "What's Next" just after it had been released (I'm 32). Blew me away and inspired me a lot. Alas, I never have had the chance to see Frank Marino live but I am holding out hope for a southern California appearance that me, my wife and (soon to be 12 year old) daughter can attend. My daughter is learning guitar and I have been playing Franks music as an example of excellent guitar playing. Someday she hopes to play that well! Anyway, Hope to see Frank on the road here in Southern California soon and am looking forward to his new release! Take care and God Bless.

Hi, just wanted to say thanks to Frank (I guess it was him) for signing my Guestbook a few weeks ago. He's earned his place among the finest rock musicians of the Seventies and I wish him and his band the best of luck in their future projects, both live and on record.
