Frank, Richard Cowdrey turned me on to your many web many sites! I thought I'd do a little homework before we came up this weekend. Your fan appreciation and response is tremendous! Looks like everyone's dying for you to hit the road (including us!) We're very excited (belive me that couldn't be more understated!) that you're interested in working with us on our recent project. See you soon... I'm off to do more Frank surfing! Brian

Frank & Willy, Frank Marino turned me on to Hendrix. I heard Are you Experienced and thought it was hippie music. (Which it is). It was never a situation where I thought Frank was influenced by anyone as much as I found a cool scene going on. Friends convinced me that if I liked Mahogany Rush I should check out Electric Lady land which I did, I thought Hendrix was ripping off Marino. I soon had every thing in perspective and was in to Uli Roth and Robin Trower and everyhting Hendrix had too offer. When Stevie Ray came out I thought how can he outdo Frank but found out he kickedx ass. The real story is, there are so many guitarists who are influenced by Jimi and may sound like him,but are only influenced by the sound they heard that tickled there fancy and awoke them to their own spirit. The truew genius of Jimi is that so many different people heard him and sound like him, but yet don't sound like each other. This is the legacy that Jimi, Frank and Uli have left us. You don't have to play a formula, you have to play your soul and Frank does that as well as I've ever heard. I was privileged to see him many times and look forward to our next meeting. I will try to attach some pix to an e-mail John

Mahogany Rush was my first concert when I was 15, that was 24 years ago. He opened for Blue Oyster Cult in Flint Michigan and I've never been the same since. I've seen him counless times, got all his albums and always loved (even being a proud Canadian) hearing the U.S. national anthem.

Thanks to Willy for this web page. FM has achived great commercial sucess in the past. I saw FM 5 times live in 1971-74,78,93. FM is one of my main influences in playing guitar. Maybe FM can put out a guitar video for amatuers like myself. They can sell at 50 bucks apeice.

My favorite songs to hear & see "live",if I had to be limited to a few, would be 1.Somethings comin"our way,2.Requeim for a sinner,3.Tales of the unexpected,4.Juggernaut& Free,5.Strange Universe!{plus all the rest if you wouldnt mind doin" them}{Hee-Hee!} I think the reason that you have such a loyal die-hard fanbase, is because so many of us growing up in the 70s & 80s that had "taste"& "class",knew how you stood apart from all of the rest! And since all the simpletons were being blown away by Angus Young,Jimmy Page,etc...it just seemed that much more" special" to know about you,and be able to turn our friends on to you and watch their expressions as they heard you for the first time.It seemed to me at least that I knew you personally and could feel your pain for 1.The lack of recognition you received,2.The pathetic labelling they put upon you!Maybe the masses will never recognize you the way that you should be recognized, but I sincerely hope that you find" some" satisfaction in the core of diehard followers {fans} that have stayed true to you, and your music for so many years!!!I felt so alone in my view of you for so many years, that I cant tell you how fulfilling it was to run across Willys website and see that there were more of me out there! It was like seeing relatives for the first time that you never knew existed! I think I can speak for most everybody reading this, and that is that "WE LOVE YOU" Frank Marino, and are behind you 100% in all that you do! I dont know how far along you are on the new CD,but it sure would" be coo"l to hear something along the vain of Tales of the unexpected,or Strange universe? "KEEP ROCKIN ON" A true fan "JEFF HAMPHTON"

It's true it would be difficult to pick a favorite song to hear live , there all so great, but one that comes to mind is TRYIN' ANYWAY. This is the most PHENOMENAL GUITAR playing I have heard !!, Plus the guitar tone is AWESOME, and I have never heard a transition from heavy guitar to jazz guitar like that EVER !! I also love the story the song tells. That song would be the Ultimate to hear and see live !

Frank, To try and pick my favorite album and the tune that I would most like to hear you play live would be very difficult. It would probably change from week to week. But my pick would be the "Juggernaut" lp because I felt you really came into your own, production wise, voice wise, and songwriting wise. Also because you had a great hit single with "Strange Dreams". Tune I would most like to hear live...."Ain't Dead Yet"

Is there any way I can get a copy of the Juggernaut tape or album? Or even a copy of the song "Ditch Queen", the hardest rockin' guitar solo ever played? Please help this life long search...Chris

Allright!! I've been a BIG fan of FM&MR for a long time now. I've seen FM&MR twice. Both times in the '70's. Let's see here...I believe it was Winterland and one of those Day at the Greens in the Oakland Coliseum. Great Stuff. It was because of Frank that I have always played early Gibson SG/Les Paul model guitars. I use a '63 cherry finish at the moment. I've always wanted to be like Frank! Go Frank!

Hi Frank (from a fellow Canadian!): Yes, I've always been a fan of Mahogany Rush since the Maxoom Days. I've got all the LPs, but I've been disappointed that Mahogany Rush CDs have until recently been few (unless I wanted to pay primo $$ for the imports). I was delighted to finally discover the "Dragonfly" collection on Razor & Tie, and I must say that the tunes sound every bit as good as I remember them from the old LPs! Hope you do a gig in Vancouver soon, ya hear? Keep on rockin', Colin
