I met you backstage 2 times with my friend, Bruce (through Stars Gutars).
The first time was a New Years Show at the Cow Palace. The second was at The Kabuki Theater during the Juggernaut Tour. You and your band were very gracious to us both times.
It still is THE highlight of me being a rock and roll fan through the years.
Thank You!
Miss you...

Hey Frank and to the rest of the band, my hat's off to you guys for making rock that has been blasting from what ever devise I can play it in-AND LOUD! First saw you guys a couple of times at the Capitol Center which was in Landover, MD (since torn down for a shopping center). You guys blew me away. I was hooked on DragonFly. I screamed DragonFly throughout the show. Caught a quieter time in the crowd shoutings and I guess you heard me, cause Frank looked dead at me. But the show as planned went on, as usual and IT WAS GREAT!!!
Many years later, I manage to get tickets to see you at The RamsHead Tavern in Annapolis, MD. You blew that place away with a mix of the new blended masterfully with the old. I believe my ears are still ringing from that night.
Our Lord has blessed you with a talent and we, yours fans, will benefit for some time to come. I truly thank you guys for having put together some great tunes. I even was playing "Poppy" in my vehicle after work and it drew the attention of everybody around. Drew so much attention, I had to play the CD in someone elses vehicle sterio, just so the true POWER of the song would come through. And it blew them away!!!
Thank for the memories, your concerts and the music that will never die. Keep my ears ringing! God bless.

Saw Frank in between Sammy Hagar and Nazareth. I think it was @ 1978. Impressive show, can still picture his long hair swaying to the jam. Sure would like to see him play again.

I am 47 next month and some time in the 1970's my best friends older brother played Juggernaut for us. All I can say is, that out of body experience you had gave you an advantage over the hum drum normal way humans learn something. The veil was lifted for you. Like you said, that hospital guitar grounded you from leaving again. Author Carlos Casteneda describes our ability to stay in the dream, leaving completely, shoes hat and all, not a physical trace of us left. His benefactor Juan once had to go into the second attention (into the dream) to retrieve Carlos from a peyote trip he took. Upon returning to his body Carlos was never the same again. In the book Journey to Ixtlan the men of knowledge said it took them many years of preparation to 'on purpose' have a trip like you had. Their lessons were always geared toward how to return to the body, cuz most don't want to. I suppose once you felt your destiny in that place you traveled to, you could not quite shake that feeling of anytime being sucked back out of the first attention (the awake state) again someday against your will and at the speed of thought. What a balancing act you had to perfect between the two attentions out of sheer survival. Man those guides sure taught you how to connect and let the creativity flow. Wow Frank, I thank you and your guides. Your guitaring and whole band sound is off planet and a gift to us from the universe. Your brain is the wonderful antenna that shares the signals. Such impeccable feel. Thank you Frank Marino. You are a true warrior.

Frank, growing up in montreal you were part of my childhood. Loved to see you when i was tripping on a friday night in NDG at one of the high schools you played at. You never disappointed me and always gave us the best of yourself.

I recall some of the legends surrounding your person, not unlike the one about Ginger Baker having a crystallized brain from too much meth. Yours was to do with some mystical episodes with the soul of Jimi Hendrix. It was a magical time of innocence and myth. Damn hippies eh!

God bless

Today I became fan! Frank, you are a true visionary artist.
You're the only one to take the Hendrix vibe to the next level & beyond.
I haven't heard anyone in 36 yrs of listening to guitar music that can touch you.
While there may be some technically brilliant players out there [who i won't name], none of them have the SOUL that you have.

Listened to Maxoom cd all day today-
it took me until the 3rd time around before I began to understand what was going on and it was amazing. I'm looking forward to exploring your recorded output.
Thanks for inspiring me to push on with my own guitar journey.
[I have three different variations of SG guitars in my collection]

I've been your fan ever since the seventies, Frank. I'm glad you're still going strong since you are one of the finest guitarists / composers I've ever heard. You've got the magic and I wanted to thank you for sharing it with us!

I looked you up to prove to my partner at work that there was a real band that we called RUSH "back in the day" that didnt suck like the fag band rush from canada--no offense. Its hard not to rember the past and maybe worse if we forget it. But damn we had a good time and no one can take that away! We were disgussing when concert tickets were $7.50 and a hit of acid was $3.00 and the question was do we go see Ten Years After or Deep Purple in chicago. Good luck, keep on truckin and thank god we actually managed to live this long!
