My favoraite album is now RealLive! However, until RealLIVE! came out, my favorite album was Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush Live. Frank does his best work live. I still listen to all of the older albums often. After 31 years of listening to Frank and the boys on vinyl and CD I finally had the chance to see them this past September in LA. I have always thought that Frank was the best guitarist anywhere since Hendrix died. After seeing Frank live, I am now convinced Frank is without a doubt THE BEST guitarist alive - on this planet at least! I had a chance to meet with Frank after the show and we had an awesome conversation for about 5 minutes. I was amazed no one was in a hurry to get the line moving. I really enjoyed those five minutes. They will stay with me forever. Frank signed all of my albums and they are a treasure to me. I have only one request for Frank. Please do one or more albums of just blues. Put your spin on the songs. Make them yours. YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

Hello! I surely like the way you play! I'm also a guitarist and play alot of styles:rock,flamenco,blues,... and I can tell when something sticks out even if I don't really like the style, you always were a tremendous musician for me! I've been playing for 30 years now, I am 42 and I think I will always listen to your music! when I heard "All in your mind" I freaked out! it was so cool and the style progressive/rock/arabic/psychedelic/funk,... I mean it was like a trip around the planet! ah!! the lyrics!! what I didn't like is that I wanted to buy the album "maxoom" on CD but I couldn't find it anywhere! so I had to make it come from Germany?!!? for a local band!! of such talent! it took 4 months plus transportation. Anyway I have it now. I'm planning on buying the whole collection, so if someone can tell me where to find them it will be awesome! I hope to see you on stage again too! I saw you on stage at Jarry parc at the Miller festival in 1986 when you played at the end with Stevie Ray Vaughn, it was incredible!!!!!! I will never forget! my girlfriend at the time was pissed off at me cause she taught the show was over and she couldn't find me anywhere (I was right in front of the stage!!) ah! ah! ah! anyway thanks alot and keep me grooving!!!

I have had the great pleasure of seeing Frank Marino play in the seventies twice, he headlined with Judas Priest and at the Texxas Jam in 1978, both outstanding shows.

I'm not a massive fan but did have a live album about 20 years ago. Just rediscovered Frank on You Tube and now re-ordered the album I had 20 years ago. Listening now (on you tube again). Fantastic stuff.

Slowly but surely getting into the music I seem to lose throughout the 90s.

Come play England and send an email when you do. I'll get there.

I think your music is definitely inspiring - does a lot for the soul - you can almost say "spiritual'.

Anyway, I'd like to see you live, but the only venue in Canada you seem to play is in Quebec - nothing wrong with that, but sheesh - such a long drive.

Also, I heard Lenny Kravitz a few years ago play something like "baby gonna go your way" - anyway I thought it was you (no offense).

Keep on recording.

I bought Strange Universe back in 1975 based on the neat artwork on the cover. I was shocked at the unknown treasure of musical mastery I had come across. Time passed and after being away from music for some thirty plus years, I had a nagging urge to re-discover but could not quite remember the name of this great guitar player. After browsing through a list of guitar player there in the list was Frank Marino. I am glad to see you are still at it, better than ever. I hope to catch one of your shows in the near future. Thanks Frank, for all the great music!

Best Wishes,

Greg

Hey Frank! I saw you in Mobile, Alabama the day after my 16th birthday in 2006 and I was completely blown away. The show was amazing. It was really cool because after the show I got you to sign my shoes. I haven't worn them since. You should really come back.smile
