Frank., I'd like to thank you for such a terrrific show at The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, NY last night. Finally after 25+ years I got to see you play! It was an amazing 2:45 minute set & it is clear that you are one of the most versatile guitarists I have ever witnessed. I stood in awe watching what was unfolding in front of me.

Keep up the great work as you are very much appreciated, especially from this fan who first saw you on TV circa 1978 at CalJam 2. It's been a great ride. Having FINALLY started taking guitar lessons in the past year (after all these years!), I can smile & hope that I can be half the player you are.

At the ripe old age of 55, I have just been to my first Frank Marino show!!!
Now, I am kickin myself in the butt, realizing how many years I have missed out,
on seeing this most unique man's performances. In my younger years
(late 60's to mid 70's), I was into the concert scene. I saw groups like the Who, Led Zep, the Stones, BB king, the Allman Brothers, and some others. I thought I had seen it all....until last night, Oct.13, 2007, at the "Rams Head", in Annapolis, Maryland! What I saw, was truely, a life altering experience.
Mr. Marino performed for more than three hours straight, without a break!
Not to mention, that he performed while fighting a cold virus.
After what I saw last night,....... in my opinion, he is without a doubt, the best performer/guitarist, on the face of the Earth.
I owe a very, very great deal of thanks, to my friend Wild Willie Parsons.
If it were not for him, I would have missed a great life changing/altering experience! Because of my connection to Willie, and with the help of Mr. Marino's road manager/wife, I was most fortunate, to meet with Mr. Marino, after the show.
Fighting an illness, and maybe fatigue from the performance he just finished, Mr. Marino took the time to speak to me. His music aside, my impressions of him, are as follows......He is a true GENTLEMAN, in every sense of the word! Unpretentious, not puffed up. Caring and kind. And without a doubt, a kindred spirit. A gift from above, sent down to planet Earth, to make it a better place. Thank you Mr. Marino, and thank you, Father God.

They say we get better with age you my friend have become the exception of all. I can't begain to tell you how much it ment to see you . You sounded GREAT and played GREAT. I had a smile all night long as well as some tears.I kept thinking to myself "I can't belive I'am see Frank Marino". My friend who I took with me to see you is also a guitar player and seen you in Oakland as well, when I would turn around to see him his fingers were playing along with you and I know he couldn't wait to get home the next day to start playing his guitar.
This was well worth a 2 and a hour drive .I would do it agine in a heartbeat to see you and with that I hope to see you next year .
Truly Exceptionable Frank ...Truly............. willie

Hi Frank- I have seen you several times over the years and own several of your albums. I'm glad to hear you are clean and sober and still around it is good to hear success stories such as yours instead of stories of rock stars dieing because they could not pull themselves out of their self-destructive streaks. You were and are one of my favorite guitar players and i hope you come to Lancaster pa someday- Thanks again for all your Great Music-Steve Bartley

Hey Frank and all Marinoheads,
I've seen you twice (1975-Sacramento and 1980-Oklahoma City)and both times you should have been the headliner(promoters are morons), but thank you for sticking to your convictions and making the magic your way...a true measure of a dedicated musician. After only playing 3 years or so,you were playing the guitar at 17 the way that most players would take decades to accomplish.Simply AMAZING.
Any chance that you will play Oklahoma again on your next tour and any chance that Land of a Thousand Nights will ever be recorded on a live cd or better yet DVD?

I was really disappointed with the weak turnout at the show on Oct 10th in Nashville. So many people in "Music City" really missed out on a rare treat!
The good news was that you played non-stop for 3 hours!! Wow and we were able to get right up to the stage.
I was able to take my 22 year old son. He came as a skeptic and left as one of your next generation of biggest fans. He babbled non stop all the way home about the show. We were the 2 standing at the speaker to your right during the last half of the show
Thank you for doing such a profession show in such a small venue. You really made this a GREAT father/son evening that we will never forget
John

I had to send another message about the "slide" portion of the show in Phoenix. What was that?! It kind of freaked me out, since I didn't see a slide. I was at the back of the room but thought I could see pretty well. It sounded fantastic - got a lot of Johnny Winter feel from it. Did you have a slide? Was it an effect I'm not familiar with? Loved it.

Saw the Rhythm Room show in Phoenix on Oct 4. I was completely overwhelmed! I hadn't heard much about Frank since my high school days in the mid 70's when I was a huge fan, so I had low expectations. For someone to stand in about a 5' radius for 3 straight hours and rip through an SG like that was phenominal. I'm a 46 year old garage band guy, gigging about once a month and I have a completely renewed enthusiasm about it after seeing Frank. I enjoyed some Marion-fan bonding during the last hour of the show with a guy I didn't know. We had a great laugh over the fact that he had to pee, but felt guilty leaving the performance since Frank barely moved from behind the mic for 3 hours. Frank is truly blessed and has made me appreciate my gift of talent even more.

Thank you for all the great music over the years. I cant even begin to tell you how many miles down the highway have been shortened because I was rocking out to Frank Marino and Mahogany Rushhhhhhhhhh.

On a more personal note. I spent the entire year of 1984 in the hospital and your music helped me get thru the ordeal.

I remember many occasions when I was in Warm Springs Ga learning to live life from a wheelchair listening to Live 1978. So many others up there would ask who is that guy playing that guitar? It wasnt long before they had it too. So I will thank you for them as well. Take care.

Frank:

I attended the Atlanta show at the Variety playhouse. The show was great as always from start to finish. It was nice to see you open with Land of 1000 nights!!!!!! You have still got it, I know the crowd was small and I must admit that I was disappointed in the crowd. People don't have a clue what they missed. I hope you will return soon.

GREAT SHOW AND MUSIC, KEEP ON ROCKIN!!!!!!!!!!!
