Frank

I play the guitar, piano, and flute, and grew up in the sixties. Your playing and song writing are a clear beacon to anyone interested in music and writing. Have only recently become aware of all your recorded output, it is second to none that I know of. Will enjoy and no doubt be inspired listening to all of it.

Many Thanks for being on The Planet!!!

As an Addict in recovery, after throwing 25 years of sobriety away, your music
takes me back to happier times... Haven't had an opportunity to listen to your music for 31 years, and wish that I'd get an opportunity to see you play in concert 'live' sometime soon!

It's amazing how many of us have similar stories of addiction and recovery, being only so close to a relapse at any time, and needing each other for support... At least you still have your music; and we still have you!

Many artists have died because of their addictions, and many more need to get sober yet...

Thank's for your contribution to the music industry!

Recently acquired Real Live, and wow! Prompted me to find website and had to say thanks for the music! Got Child of the Novelty back in 74? thru Columbia house multi order, and subsequently got Maxoom & IV, and still have in LP collection. For many years the music & lyrics still play in my brain whenever I want them to, now aided by correct printed lyrics. And all this time I thought Child of the Novelty was first because of the way I procured them, but the history line cleared me up. Plan to add more CD's starting with the beginning and hope to acquire them all. Again, thanks for the music, my life just wouldn"t have been the same without it. Brian

I'm originally from Nova Scotia. Live 78 my fav cause it's the first one I heard. I'm 48 now and still love those guys. Sure love to see them live, maybe make a trip out west, eh. Frank's gui-tar playin is wicked! I've had some of his tunes playin at the lake, and some of my buds not 'in the know' would say, hey man who the hell is that. Yeah.

I once bought Tales of the Unexpected on 8-track tape to play in my car - I asked "is this any good?" There was nothing else to buy there, so I bought it. I listened to it all that summer... Liked it more & more. Then I bought Juggernaut album & it became one of my favourite albums ever! I lost all my records & music collection & never even saw Juggernaut again & couldn't remember the name of it when I was rebuilding my record collection on CD - 2 decades later. All I remembered was the cool album cover ... and the song "Strange Dreams" & "Ditch Queen" - now I found it here at this site & will be ordering it & Tales of Unexpected maybe next payday... FINALLY ! This is the last album from my teen years to get on CD if possible.
Please come & play in western Canada sometime, Frank .... that would be the best show here in many years! I have never had a chance to go to any of your shows before.

Hello there!

I was just sitting here with a beer and going thru my old records, and found that i must have lost my album juggernaut(vinyl bought in -82)
And i started to look for your music on the internet and found this site!!
I first got in contact with Mahogny rush in -78 with the album FRANK MARINO & MAHOGANY RUSH LIVE, wich were played time after time.
Then i had the privelege to see you live in Sweden at Sweden rock festival
But i missed strange dreams at the concert.
Strange dreams bring back memories from my youth( born in 1964)
Anyways it is great to hear all the great songs from Juggernaut again!
Keep on rocking and hope to see you int he future.

Magnus Christensen

I grew up on Long island, New York back in the 70s. A few of my friends and I were totally wrapped in the music of Mahogany Rush, and Frank Marino. back when the stories began, one of the best was how Frank tripped on acid, which magically initiated his incredible musical journey, and his unreal playing of that famous Gibson SG! We saw them perform at a small venue in Connecticut, (can't remember the name). They blew the place away! Frank kept having to retune his SG, he said "well thats how it is when you play a guitar with a cracked head stock". Or something to that effect. Anyway, those were the days! Sorry for rambling. Keep rocking Frank!
Regards, Jim

I saved the cig in an airtight tube until the day I graduated high school and then I smoked it.my girlfriend thought I was crazy but it tasted great sir. The live albums are the best but Whats Next is my personal favorite. It was on this tour I saw Frank live for the first time. 4 times later he still kicks ass and I'm looking for ward to #5. I would really like to see a Frank Marino dvd. I know on the Juggernaut tour the show I saw at the Coloney theater (Chicago) was broadcast live. I'd love to somehow get a copy of that night. Any help please? Can't wait until the next time Frank plays Chicago.
