Hey Frank;
My name is jeff and i saw the tales of the unexpected tour,It was awesome. You guys were opening for Nazareth (whom i hate ) and loved the Land of a thousand nights, that peaked me and I 've never topped it since. any way, stay cool and think of all the boomer fans you have. If you need us ,call and they will have to get through us first. above all else, every one of us wants to hear from you. I've got vinyl of the first six or so. Any way thanks for your time and I hope you have a glimmer of what your music meant, and still means to me. Far out man, you're just on the fringe of whatever it is we call reality. which is nothing more than we perceive.
stay cool, Jeff

A friend turned me onto Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush. He told me, you have to go to this concert. It was Judas Priest opening up at the Orange Show in San Bernardino in 1978. I'd never heard either group, and was blown away. It was a small venue, and I was right up front. A very memorable night. I said to my friend after Judas Priest's set: this Frank Marino better be pretty good to outdo these guys. He was, and did. I've been a fan ever since.

I have yet to attend a concert that was INCREDIBLE as the one that I saw Frank play in the outskirts of Chicago. There are VERY few guitar players, past or present, living or deceased, who are as good as Frank. Frank come back to Chicago soon!! I'll try to get out to the Blues Fest in Windsor Canada this summer.

Keep playing...your artistry is one-of-a-kind.

Have always loved the tunes, I have attended I think 6 of your concerts dating back to the 70's and 80's. I remember the last at Fayetteville N.C. I was stationed with the 82nd Airborne Division then. Hope your future is great and glad to hear that you are back. Tom (USA retired)smile

I bought my only album: World Anthem, in 1977 at the age of 20. I recently found the Youtube: "He's Calling" and bought Real Live immediately, and then I found this website! Great site.

Your style of music is unlike any other - (little Hendrix - then) but we know that. The music is fast and it moves... It has velocity.
I'm going to stay in touch and get my collection going. There really is nothing better in your style.

Youngsters - Take Note!

Regards
Jet

Frank: You are the most underrated axeman ever! Been listening to your music since the 70's and have been blown away with your playing. I also like the "Juggernaut" era releases from the 80's as well. Wish you can tour the Southwest this summer...Never seen you live and I hope to real soon.

laugh I was 24 yrs. old in 1977 when I saw FMMR in concert in Tulsa. OK. As a die-hard Hendrix devotee I had thought that NO One would ever move me musically ( being a guitar player myself). I discovered that night that the guitar has endless possibilities. Long story short- it was one of the best live perfomances I had ever seen, and still is to this day! Thanks Frank for fanning a smoldering fire into roaring flames.

Frank and Dave, look forward to seeing you guys play the birchmere in VA 7 -20. I have been talking and emailing your good friend Timm Biery over the last few months for various reasons. I was able to see him play for the first time last December here in maryland and he blew me away. what a talent. I have seen his show with james marbry again since then and have gotten to know him better. it turns out we have alot in common other than music. we both grew up here in central maryland and know alot of the same people. I went to school with some of them or know them through friends of friends. you know some of them to including the late terry gleason. Timm has also been working with me on teaching drum lessons. i have been doing the DVD lesson with him and when he is in town hook up for a private lesson. It was the last show at the birechmere that inspired me to get a set and start playing again after many years. watching dave wail and talking with him after the shows I have seen I am totaly into playing and learning drums. thanks for the inspiration and hope i live till july 20th. chriswire

I have always wanted to see Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush but didn't think I ever would because of where I live. Then I saw he was coming to Quebec City. I drove six hours to see the show and it was worth every mile.The cancer run show was very good, including The Blues Brothers.I have been a big Mahogany Rush fan since I was 15 years old and first heard Tales Of The Unexpected, I even have one of the little guys from Strange Universe tattooed on my leg. The favorite album was a hard choice as I really dig all of Frank's albums, but Stories Of A Hero is one of my favorite songs of all time. Anyway, great show and I would drive six hours to see him again!smile
