I've been a Frank Marino fan since seeing him live in the seventies.77 or 78 it was.I drove to Chicago last year in 2001 to the H.O.B.to catch a live performance. Luckily,he came thru Indy for the first time in 20 years just recently. There's just an inexplicable quality to this music that really speaks to me.Dragonfly from the live album, and the extemporaneous jamming during the tune Ditch Queen from Juggernaut are just 2 examples of what i like about this music.I stumbled on this site by accident.I'm glad i did.AND i'm glad i'm not alone .

I first heard of Mahogany Rush in a used edition of the 1995 "Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock" (bought in 2001). This is definitely an ironic turn-on, since Mr. Marino disparages said encyclopedia in an interview (not without reason, since it devotes half the article to the mythological Hendrix-reincarnation tale). Being a Hendrix lover, I took note of his name because of the Hendrix association. A few months later I came across two Mahogany Rush LP's in a used record shop and took a chance on them (Live '78 and World Anthem). Blown away by what I heard, I purchased a UK special-order CD of the first 3 MR albums on CD (hope Mr. Marino gets some of my cash for this great music). Searched the web for more info, and came across this site (one of the best I've seen, by the way). I was particularly impressed by the fact that Mr. Marino is a theology buff like myself. Theology and Rock 'N' Roll are, unfortunately, seldom coupled together in the interests of most people. I hope my wife will get me his new album for Christmas. Rock On!

Frank Marino is my bud. I did a California tour in 1994. He let me take the 1961 SG. of stage and case it. I think he is one great man. I will say the gig with Uli will be the best gig of the new year. They are both born in 1954 Crazy year of the Horse Like Hendrix and my self all Sages. I am Dec.6 1961. Dear God This is to heavey. Good thing to get rid of Shanker the canker sore. I have often woundered who I like more Frank or Uli I say tie goes to the Men of the Horse Spirt. In the Love of W.A.Mozart Jason Viking Halvorsen

My first concert was in 1976. Head East and Mahogany Rush opened for Ted Nugent. Frank blew Ted away. I've seen Frank Marino in concert 6 times and though its been a long time since I've seen him, I'm still blown away by his music and guitar playing expertise. Consider me a fan forever.

I remember seeing the album jackets in my teens and hearing the name, but besides Juggernaut, I have no recollections of the music. I am a guitarist (since 1978) and somehow missd the boat. Well, I went to see the Cleveland show (I used to live in Baltimore and the show there a few years back was cancelled...) with an open mind. I am a huge Robin Trower fan and was expecting something in that vein. I was surprised from the first song all the way through. I have heard many versions of "Rock Me Baby" and this one was great. It was good to see someone, who like me, just loves to play!!! I am a diehard fan now and will be out there catching up on the years of music that I somehow missed. Thanks for a very entertaining and inspirational night.
