just wrote few days ago, out here on the left coast among the fruits & nuts, (each his own, no foul!) there is, I found out at a record store, where I got totally confused, a Frank Marino who is a "Vegas" transvestite lounge act. Oh well! Was told he is popular among that crowd.
oh, for an extended "The Answer"! Peace, Love & Happiness! ( Chambers Bros?)and where's
my Maalox?

see Happy B days in others' texts, to wiki, learned a bit. So, Happy B day, late! 60 is nothing, from one closing on 70, which I find depressing! Over the yrs, have introduced many to your incredible talent, gladly. Frequently wear a MR Tee shirt at the beach, usually stopped by guitar players. I,m not a guitarist (lefty) but sure like to listen and appreciate creativity + talent. My understanding is that an injury or ailment has prevented touring, maybe its wanting to be with your girls, dunno. all that is known is for the last 40 yrs now, your music has been a lifelong companion. thank you so much! Via con dios, amigo!

Hey Frank. I am steve, the drummer who you opened the back doors of the Ken ed Center for us in 1975. You played with Kansas and Queen then. I have pics of us, and I wore a red and white checkered shirt. So...you and I Cleaned up our act. Lol. I own an automotive parts company, and I am doing well. Let me know if you want pics. of us then. Later man, Steve Garner

Hi Frank,
I noticed that there are no tour dates coming up. I hope that when you retire god has blessed you with the finances to do so.

It was kinda hard picking my favorite album Frank. They are all great from the first time I heard them. I have been a Mahogany Rush fan since the 70's. Yeah I'm an old geezer now, but still jamming. Thanks for music Frank.

Sir, I am here to thank you for your contribution in Music. I look upon you as an inspiration as I tirelessly sit in front of computer listening and learning your songs note by note. Some of them takes even a couple of days to sound very similar to your playing. And I am a recovering drug addict trying to come out clean and the music you created has helped me staying clean for a long time now. It keeps me engaged. I have been unable to understand why but it works as a medicine for me.
Please, keep making music for all of us. You may be well amazed that here in Darjeeling, you are cherished among veterans and young musicians and music lovers like us. We had Paul Gilbert here in Darjeeling last year and hope we will see you playing here one day.
Once again, thank you for your contribution and inspiring us to listen, play and make music.
Regards. Jai Gorkha..smile

Frank. Will you tour anywhere in the UK again? Even if it's just a one off gig while passing through. I would love to see you play live again. The first and only time I saw you was at the day festival at Port Vale Football Club in 1981 - I was 15 years old. I went out and bought every record by you I could find after that gig. You were a major influence in me picking up the guitar and learning to play too. I never got anywhere near as good as you but had some fun anyway and have some fond memories.
Just got my turntable going again recently and played the "Power of Rock and Roll" album - fantastic.

I remember sitting on the front porch with the pioneers rocking out the windows listening to Requiem For A Sinner. Man I miss the days.
Keep rockin' brother. Cheers

I remember seeing MR many times at the Morris Civic Auditorium in South Bend in the early 70's. You were and remain among some of the most wonderful memories of my youth. I smoked many a joint listening to, and getting lost in, your music. Thanks for the great memories and God bless you and yours!

Could not select a favorite album; all of the Mahogany Rush music is great! Being 1 year older than Frank, I can certainly relate to growing up back in the late 60's and all that was going on then. What a time that was!!

Believe it or not, I first heard Mahogany Rush in the late 70s when I hitched a ride from a guy who was playing a tape of "What's Next" in his car. I was blown away by the music, and asked him what he was listening to. I was able to see Frank play twice, the first time in 1983, then finally again in 2000. I would love to see him again. My daughter is now a guitarist, and she is very into the great players. It would be very cool to take her to see Frank play. "Eye of the Storm" was excellent, I keep hoping that one of these days Frank will get around to recording something new. I am glad that there are still people out there who appreciate real music over the crap that is passed off on the public today (jeez I sound like my parents - I must be getting old!) Well anyway, long live Frank Marino! Rock on brother!
