Have had the opportunity to hear Frank and MR recently, and am ABSOLUTELY ASTOUNDED! Wow! I've bought ticks for the show in Dallas, and will be buying some CD's there to support. I like Franks approach to the music; its between the artist and the fans. The middlemen are buggy whip makers trying to protect their business.

But, it is really all about the music, and what music you guys make!

I first heard your music after evacuating South Vietnam. We were still trippin' back in those days, primarily to ease the pain of all the crap. Anyway, I heard your music in bars in the Philippines, Thailand, and Australia and instantly fell in love with your guitar playing. I still have your albums, but they're kinda hard to play in my Harley. So, I went to look for a way to find Strange Universe and a live album and found your webside. Ya gotta love computers and progress. I'm going to order Strange Universe and turn my high schoolers on to your music, yes I "corrupt the minds of the youth," in a local high school. I look forward to seeing you in Atlanta October 29th. Keep on rockin' ...Scottsmile

Frank, I"ve been waiting ,but it won"t belong. See you at Sellersville, PA. I remember when you made Ted Nugent look like a man standing on a corner with a penny looking for change in Detriot. So you know I've been around for some time, enjoying the legend Mr. Frank Marino . The fingers that make magic on the guitar along with Mahogany Rush the finest .

Wow...I cant believe that as long as I've been a music snob(specializing in progressive/guitarists/instrumentalists etc etc that I've never heard of this guy. Then to find out he's canadian!?!? I heard a couple tracks of the new remastered double live..and was BLOWN away. Unbelievable tone...very David Gilmour esque...the kind of sound that makes all the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

Great site.
Great career...come to Ottawa.
(instant fan)

Peace.

I'll never forget the day Hendrix died. Even with the generous amount of music he left us in a short period of time it was hard to think that his style and brand of music and guitar playing would never be heard again.

Then came Frank Marino. Even after I'd quit taking acid and other drugs by the time I first heard Frank, I could tell that he had been there. The song "Child of the Novelty" literally made me cry the first time I heard it. Frank Marino filled a void in my heart (I'm a guitarist as well) that I didn't think anyone would ever be able to fill. I lost track of him in recent years (I don't know him, I just feel like I do) because of all the touring that I've done myself and many upheavles in my life but was very pleased to find this very excellent website where I can again hear his great music.
God bless you and yours Frank.

I've been a Frank fan for many, many years...it all started so long ago that I cannot remember the exact year, but it was at a $1.02 concert (put on by a local radio station whose frequency was 102...WHAT A DEAL! Montrose warmed up for Frank who warmed up for Rainbow. Those were the good old days!
Anyway, I was just listening to the "Live" CD and began to wonder, "what is Frank up to these days". I'm glad to see he is still touring and making albums, but disappointed to learn that he won't be taking his tour too close to my hometown. Maybe in 2007?!?

I haven't seen Mahogany Rush since the seventies but I remember that Frank Marino was pretty wild and scary good! A friend of mine turned me on to MR back in the mid seventies and it's really great that they are still rockin' and rollin' and thrillin' thousands!

Out from the woods: (now the rest is in german language, Eat it!!!) Alter, du spielst ´ne fette Gitarre - und du kannst auch noch gut singen! Das macht Spass!
And now the translation for all the "Non-German.Spakers": You´re playing a real fat guitar - an for all you are singing fine! I like it!
