Hey Frank,
It's great to see you still out there doing what you do best...rocking this world!! I've been a big big fan of your music since about '76. One of my greatest joys is turning other people on to it. Mostly younger people. I tell them, they don't know what they're missing. The looks on their faces as they hear you play for the first time is always priceless. They look like I did when I heard you. I still get that look from time to time when I hear something new from you. You are the greatest.....
Thanks buddy,
Keep it up! Hope to see you live some day.
Peace,
John.

( not sure if my first post went through) Today is March 18, the 28 year anniversary of California Jam 2. That was the first time I saw Frank. Killer show! I listen to Mahogany Rush very frequently, almost daily, by far my favorite band. I have seen Frank at least 12 times over the years, and can't wait for the next time.

Today is March 18,the 28th anniversary of California Jam 2. This is when I first got turned on to Frank. (also my first concert) I had never heard of him before, but I was TOTALLY blown away! I was about 30 feet from the stage, and Frank was by far the best band of the day. ( the others were Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Santana, Heart, Foreigner, and others) This show changed my life musically, I have since seen Frank at least 12 times over the years, have all of his albums and even have a Cal Jam dvd with him doing Purple Haze. I would love to find a dvd with the full performance from this show, but have had no luck. Every year since 1978 on this day I listen to Frank from Cal Jam. Needles to say, I am Frank Marino's biggest fan!

Frank, the first time I saw you live, you had Rush opening the show with you back in the 70's Here in Albuquerque New Mexico, it was the coolest thing cause it was a promo for a rock station and they charged 94 cents to come in and see you. I heard of Rush and new they were an up and comming band, I guess they sure did make it. Anyway you blew them away and still do in my opinion. Keep rockin Frank, your music still kicks ass.

October 22nd, a day that will live in rock and roll infamy! Frank Marino blows apart Annapolis's Ram's Head Tavern with the greatest rock it has ever been blessed with! I have seen many of rock's greatest acts in my life (Beatles, Who, Mountain, a hundred others), yet during Frank's finale, I realized that those tears pouring down my face were of pure joy. I feel so fortunate to have been there and I can only hope that Frank will wish to play for us again. What a stunning show! If he plays anywhere near you, don't you dare miss out!

Hi guys! My brother (username dragonfly2...I think) told me about this site a while back, so I finally visited.

When I got "turned on" to Mahogany Rush in 1975, Frank's sound was a huge knockout for me, and it still is. It's like Jimi Hendrix's style taken to the next higher level, with more polish and a bit of jazz thrown in. And while Frank may say he never practiced, you'd never know it by listening to that early vinyl. As a young guitarist myself, it hit me like some wierd drug that I just couldn't get enough of, and I've work out at least two copies of all of Frank's LP's up through Juggernaut. In the late 70's and even early 80's nobody else besides Frank and Robin Trower were doing anything like it -- except for an outright Hendrix impersonator or two -- and even now there are very few artists, old or new, whose music makes me say, "Damn, that was just amazing!"

So big thanks to you, Frank, for all the great music! From the first time I heard one of your records to today I rarely travel anywhere without at least one FM & MH release with me.

And thanks, too, for responding to my brother's emails. It means A LOT to him!

See you in Marinoville....... smile

At 47, I'm revisiting my early influences and Master Marino lead me to bands like Nazareth, Budgie, Thin Lizzy to name a few. Anyone remember Whitewitch?! Thanks Frank, your music takes me back and propels me into the future ~

Its been Way too long!! The first FM&MH CD I bought was back in 79 I had CalJam II and had to have more so I got "Live 78" Man those were the days. Gettin High & Crankin out the jams!! After H.S. I joined the military and pretty much abandoned music. Damn I was lost!! LOL

I got out in 93 and have ever since been catching up. I missed so many concerts and so much good music. I missed Franks music! Its just not in stores like it should be!! A couple years ago I picked up "Dragonfly Best Of" of course loved everything on it! Im ashamed to admit I havnt gotten anymore of Franks music.

Im sorry Frank. sad Ive been listening here this morning to your newer Cds and bro your still on fire! What great freakin music!! I AM going to start ordering your music now!! Sorry its taken so long. Im looking forward to many years of great music!! Thank You Frank!!smile

Hi Frank,
I loved the interview on with A.J. Fritz on WLVR 91.3fm. I also do a show on that station (Keith In The Kitchen) and we met at your recent show in Allentown,Pa. You are one of the artists that I get alot of requests for and Am very happy to play.
If you remember we talked about the mega concert I attended in Trenton,N.J. that was back in 1975. From listening to your coments I now know how you feel about those large shows that you had to play back in the day. The shows in clubs are a much more intimate setting. And where else can you play for 3 hours and 40 minutes. I just want to thank you for getting back into playing and coming to play for us. You truely are one of the greats.
Keep On Rockin'
