I am amazed and ashamed of myself that I hadn't discovered Frank until now. I've listened to lots and lots of quitar players, (being one myself), Hendrix, Clapton, Trower, Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, Luther Grosvenor, John Williams, Andres Segovia, etc, etc,...... I am truly flabbergasted with the amazing and versatile playing of Mr. Marino. I heard about him from a friend, and once again I just can't believe I haven't heard of him until now.
I have only listened to "real live", it is just great! Plain and simple, just great!
I dare not say anymore, I guess I just don't have the words. Bravo! Framk Marino and Mahogany Rush.

Love to hear you re-visit your 1978 tone and effects line-up once again Frank. Nobody is doing it today like you did then.
I'm ready.

It has been a long time my friend since we last seen you in concert in Denver. Hope you stop by. I need to show a few of the young upcoming guitarist how great Frank Marino is. The new generation is longing for the real guitarist of past.

Frank has always inspired me to be a better player. " I'm a King Bee" from the "Live" [1978] album is the best.

I saw Mahogany Rush on Don Kirschner's Rock Concert when I was a kid ( Im now 44) and was amazed at their talent, bought their stuff but lost track of them over the years..decided tonight to look them up, having no idea if they still existed! To my delight I am listening to their live album right now as I write this..Rock on,Frank!

Hey Frank- I have been enjoying your work since the 70's. I can remember going to my friend Kyle's house and him playing some of your fine tuneage on his little portable stereo/record player with detachable speakers his parents bought him for Xmas. We were probably Jr High age and into a little harrder rock than most of our friends. We gravitated to tasty guitar playing and we knew the good stuff and you my friend were just what the doctor ordered. What is really cool is that the album said on the back or somewhere abouts that this album should be played at maxium volume to really be enjoyed. So we cranked it. And as you know when you crank it up you hear all of the little licks and vocals and then some. Thank you for your effort/hard work and sticktuitiveness. In present time I still listen but of course to your tasty CD's. Needless to say I crank it up and still hear all the good stuff, new and classic. By the way I live in Columbus Ohio so get your ASS to the capital city. You play in Cleveland Ohio sometimes so head south 2 more hours and WOW the Columbus Contingent. If you want to write me for a booking gig please do. I book bands around Columbus so perhaps we can put together a show for the kiddies. That's about it.

Keep on Keeping On!

FRANK MARINO!!!!!

Me and my buddies stumbled upon a promo copy of your "Live" album back in '79 and it TOTALLY BLEW OUR MINDS! It kindled a lifelong passion for searing blues rock that hasn't dimmed over the last quarter century. The amazing thing about your style is not just that you PLAY ALL THOSE STINKIN' NOTES but that they're exactly the RIGHT ONES (to speak to the soul- echoes of the gospel roots of blues in there no doubt).

Please let me know if you're playing within about six hours of here anytime soon (and Springfield Va is well within that range- see above post!) I've got a sixteen y.o. boy who's inherited my vinyl collection and is a big fan too.

forever thanks,
Bo Harrison

Hey there...love your web page! It's been years since I've heard anything about you and your band. Got an e-mail saying that you were coming to my area in October...( I still have old tapes of your early music...lol).
I was wondering...whatever happened to your drummer Tim Biery??? He's an old friend that I have not heard from in ages!
Thanks...Tammy
