Saw Frank and M/R three times back in the 70’s. First time was in 75 at a little club in Palatine, IL that probably held 500 people tops. They were touring in support of the Strange Universe album, and opening for them was Status Quo. I was sitting in the front row.. just about 10 or 12 feet away from Frank. Talk about getting “rocked” !! Frank blew my mind and the band sounded great. Saw him 2 more times in 76 & 77, both times at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago... but nothing came close to seeing them in that intimate club atmosphere. Awww yes.. those were the days when bands could play and you could actually afford tickets !!

Live at the Agora Theatre. Ill attempt to describe how much joy the Long awaited DVD has givin me. When I received the Dvd.. I decided to start with watching the second set. Frank your voice is so on point throughout the entire 6 hour performance. & So many songs to mention are so powerfully performed by you & your band.. If I mentioned all the songs.. I would mention just about the whole DVD. I WILL MENTION HOW TOUCHING THESE SONGS ARE IN THEIR RAW LIVE DELIVERY. RISE ABOVE,,REQUIEM FOR A SINNER, FINISH LINE, THE ANSWER,YOU GOT LIVIN, MAYBE ITS TIME, CHILD OF THE NOVELTY, STRANGE DREAMS LONG AGO,ITS BEGUN TO RAIN.. I WILL SAY I KNOW WHY ODE TO CREATION & HE'S CALLING DID NOT REACH COMPLETELY INSIDE OF ME ON THE DVD & THATS BECAUSE THESE TWO PERFORMANCES ARE SO COMPLETELY BEAUTIFUL ON REAL LIVE.. IN A PERFECT WORLD THE DVD EXPERIENCE WOULD HAVE INCLUDED. ORDINARY MAN, EYE OF THE STORM, HANG ON, LOVED BY YOU, THE WALLS CAME DOWN.HAD ENOUGH.. FRANK YOUR MUSIC HAS BEEN A SOURCE OF JOY IN MY LIFE.. ALL OF MY LIFE SINCE I FIRST HEARD MAHOGANY RUSH LIVE IN 78.. TALKIN BOUT A FEELIN'! I WAS 15 YEARS OLD THEN & I'M 56 NOW..I HAVE LOVED YOU & HAVE FOLLOWED YOU ALL OF MY LIFE INCLUDING IN FAITH. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN HEAVEN FOR ETERNITY & SINGING YOUR MUSIC WITH YOU & WORSHIPPING TOGETHER! GOD BLESS YOU & YOURS FRANK!

Tisztelt Marino.Hosszú évek óta követem az életútját,kiadott lemezeit és pályafutását.A legelső albumait vinilen, az utóbbi albumait CD formátumban tudtam beszerezni. Jelenleg a legutóbbi "Live at the Agora Theatre" kiadvány megszerzésén fáradozom. Remélem ha kijutok Canadába még élőben láthatom.További jó egészséget és jó fellépéseket kívánok a messzi Magyarországról.

Man, Dragonfly live still blows me away after all these years. I saw Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush live in Santa Monica back in the day! Frank had a shit-ton of pedals back then! I sat 1st row right in front of him, and I was blown away! Those were the days!!! Oh, and I put Live as my favorite album, but that was the live version of Mahogany Rush IV which is tied for my favorite of Frank's albums!!!

Mr. Marino,
I was a fan in my younger years, thanks to my cousins who introduced me to you. What an amazing performer you are! My man and I recently finished viewing Live at the Agora Theatre and I've never been silent in my life, until now! We are both huge fans and are planning a "Chilly Marino" party (we live in Maryland) in November for family & friends we want to introduce you to! We've been spreading the word on social media as this compilation is the best music we've ever experienced!

Bon Chance in the future!

p.s. PLEASE tour the U.S.!!

Just discovered Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush a few years ago on You Tube. I can't believe it, I'm 56 years old and just now hearing about him. All these years wasted. I started going to concerts at The Boston Garden back in the early 80's , and I mean a LOT of concerts! I can't remember ever hearing about FMMR in Boston. Certainly never heard him on the local rock stations, but that's no surprise. They considered a lot of great music unacceptable. If I had heard of him, I would have all the albums. Well, better late than never. I just got the "Frank Marino Live at the Agora Theatre" and it's incredible. Absolutely amazing work and well worth the money. Everybody's talking about it. I've been spreading the word on Facebook in a effort to enlighten my friends. Well, if we're lucky enough to have FMMR in the Boston area some time in the future I will certainly be there.
