Frank,
So happy to hear you will be back on the road again, it’s been to long but full respect for you and your family, they should alway come first. I have been a fan since the late 70’s. A friend of mine, who I have known for 40yrs, Dan Larson, also your friend turned me on to your music. Back then there where so many shows to see, living in San Francisco, I saw them all, but in a Strange way did not feel connected to the bands I was seeing. At the time being in my late teens early 20’s I thought that’s the way it is. The stars are stars and we our the paying customers. Then I met you on Tour in late seventies, maybe early 80’s. Me, You, Dan Larson sat around and chatted after one of your shows, first time I realized people are just people, on the whole we are all the same. Some more talented then others at certain things, but we are all just regular folks. It was eye opening for me at such a young age. Learned two things then, the talent of your craft, in my mind off the charts, but maybe the most important thing I learned back then that no one person more special then the next. I thank you for your great music, it has been the theme of my life for over 40 yrs. My reasons for going to all your shows back then was the music, but I also learned a valuable life lesson,THANK YOU. The last time I saw you was in Santa Cruz California, the show was great hanging around with you and your girls was priceless. My son how is now 20 will be at your show in San Juan Capistrano this Oct. My son is a great guitar player a real old soul when it comes to his playing, anyways we will be there, I already know the show will be great, and I would be proud to introduce him to this Frank Marino guy who I have been telling him about for his whole life. Hopefully Dan will be there to as I have not seen much of him since he moved to Colorado.
See you soon, between now then I hope you and you family stay healthy,
Thanks for everything, sorry the email turned into a novel, this maybe the longest thing I have written since high school,
