Just bought the Live at the Agora BluRay/DVD/Book-set, a masterpiece I was long time waiting for. When I happened to hear Tales of the unexpected in a record shop decades ago, it was a must have for me and afterwards I bought every record which came out and additional bootleg kind dvds, too.
The complete package is worth every cent. The only things I have to complain a bit ... no title from my favourite album. I (67 years old) am playing bass guitar and guitar and I love funky black music, so my absolute favourite song since "Live 1977" is "Dragonfly".
So keep on rocking with your allways excellent band members as long as you can.
Best wishes
Walter Schmidt

Hello Mr. Marino,
I enjoy your music for more than twenty years. Sister Change from Tales of the Unexpexted is a good example. Influenced by writers as E.A. Poe or Edward Ellsberg? I do not know. Keeps me wondering, even when I am 57 years young. Anyways, thanks a lot for all that! I hope to see you in Holland, when you can find time. Please try!
Kind regards, Chris

Huge fan of your 70's stuff and Eye of the Storm CD. Strange Universe was my intro and listening to Land of 1000 Nights on my new Sennheiser HD414 headphones was a trip that required no acid or drugs!! I listened to it over and over, panning back and forth in my head! Still listen to S.U. about once a week or so.

Great to see you are still slinging away. I just might have to get the new Agora Blu-Ray to watch! Thanks, Frank and God Bless.

Frank,
So disappointed for you and me that your tour is postponed. I am so grateful for the DVD, it is a moving musical experience every time i put it in. Been listening since 86, and your music has meant so much to me throughout my entire life. i sometimes say to myself, i really should listen to something in addition to Frank Marino, but nothing moves me like your music. i cannot name a favorite album as a different one is my favorite every week. Thank you for sharing your greatness with the world. Those who have not heard your music are missing something very special.
God bless you brother,
Darin

getting through the dvd is hard. Just so powerful...I have to take it easy so I don't get overwhelmed with the whole thing. frank you demonstrate what a guitarist is when there up there giving renditions of the music live and they haven't got the studio time to fiddle around...in your case you surpass all expectations and I am just blown away yet again! all the great rock musicians go up and down in there live shows ...you just keep moving straight ahead. Absolutely phenomenal frank...thanks for spending all that time on the DVD..its set a new standard! as you usually do...I remember the Hammersmith juggernaut gig wow you blew some heads off that night..and listening to the sound you have now...again so different but incredible...just remember frank your fans don't like you...they love you ...you delivered again......better go lie down and recuperate now...just watched another track!!

I am in awe, after watching the Agora DVD's! What I have seen, is not a master, but the Grandmeister, master of masters at work! I must say I did loose track over the years, but now I wished, I could see you play live in Europe. But I am very happy with the show on DVD.
My friend, who was also a professional guitar player and was down for quite some years, was so inspired after watching the show with me, that he found the drive to start playing again!
Not professionally, but pure for the fun of playing. And now he is trying all sorts of styles again. So you helped him out of the slum. And on time, because in september we start recording our own independent album called Project Dreamwalker. This is a project of us, for which I wrote all the stories and lyrics and he will take care of the music. It will consist of a book with beautiful graphics and a CD. I would be honoured to ship you a copy once it is complete next year. If you are interested you can reply to me with a ship to address and I will send you a copy, once complete.

High Regards,

Joop Stroucken

Thanks for all your music - saw you and your band so many times in the day in Atlanta. It began with Child of the Novelty and went from there for me. Your music keeps getting better.

Keep keeping on!

Hello Frank,

I hope all is well with you and your family. Stay safe and away from the virus. You have a tour coming up! I've seen you play four times over four straight years--1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980, so this year will mark 40 years since I last saw you (in Memphis). I've got tickets for the Austin and San Antonio shows. An old Navy buddy who I haven't seen in 38 years will be joining me for one of the shows. I hope we get a chance to chat with you, just to let you know how much we appreciate your music and the fact you're still playing despite the horrible condition of the music industry these days (I would think the 70s were heaven compared to today!).

Thanks, too, for the "Live at the Agora Theatre" DVD/Blu-Ray! Holy mackerel, that show is INCREDIBLE! What I especially love is the fact you played five songs off "IV," including "IV...the Emperor" which I don't think I've ever seen you play (hint hint) and is an amazing song!

Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope it will be a 'go' for shows in September and October. I can't imagine how much better you've gotten as a guitarist with 40 more years of experience under your belt (and you were already incredible in the 70s!).

Take care and God bless you and your family, Frank.

Donald

One of my all time Favorite bands. Funny how now that I'm older, it's has become distinctively more evident how Frank's guitar playing has influenced my playing style. As I'm listening, the thought enters my my brain, "Wow, I play all those same lix; just not as well or with that amount of energy. My wife, Mary and I are looking forward to getting the DVD! Thanks for all the superb creativity and individualism!
