Was lucky enough to see FMMR twice, once in Sacramento way back in the early seventies with Sabbath(who quit after 6 songs...something about technical problems....yeah, well technically they got their doors blew off by Frank and I was a huge Sabbath fan back then)and again in the early eighties in Okla.City with R.E.O.Speedwagon.Unfortunately due to mind altering substances I don't remember much of either concert.Suffice to say though that Frank is one of the best artist to ever pick up a musical instrument and we are all better off because he did.
Thank you for all the great music and Merry CHRISTmas to you and your family Frank!

Hi frank happy belated birthday, traveled 1230 miles to go see you at the mercy lounge in nashville tenessee, my wife didn"t let me go see you at the granada theater in dallas texas, so i took flight to nashville and was worth the week of doghouse i endured. i hope it"s not the last time i see you live. frank played 31/2 hours of high energy music to the last song. hope to see you soon again and god bless you. Frank. I have listened to your music for a while now, off and on. I can remember your name floating the music scene in New York as I was growing up (70's and early 80's). I am sad that I missed your show in atlanta. Hopefully you will be returning here soon. I am a closet guitarist and really appreciate the true talent that you have and the message you send through your guitar. Just great stuff.

Thanks!

Alex

After 9 yrs. of being my main stage gtr., my MAHOGANY-neck gtr. broke off right at the headstock. I stripped off the hdwe.,retired it and reverted to sturdy maple and walnut....however, tracks 9,10 and 11 of my CD are played on a '65? SG Custom! I remain delighted by your music! respectfully,LVl

laugh Hi Frank. I was introduced to your music last year by my boyfriend, Perboir Moreira Filho. He has just started a campaign to bring you and the band to our country. Please, do consider the idea of giving us the privilege of seeing you play live. Merry Christmas to you and your "girls". laugh

hello Frank and all the guys from Mahogany Rush!
As you can see in the past messages, all we here in Brazil are requesting a certain show date around the biggest Cities of Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo). Recently, B. B King made it at the "Farewell World Tour", and it became perfect!

I think I might of signed this years ago... Might have told you about being stationed on the island of Guam in the Air Force, (1980) playing cards and drinking beer with the guys, and just being blown away by what I was hearing on the sterio... "WHO IS THAT" I asked... That's Frank Marino, the southerner told me... "WHY DON'T I KNOW WHO THIS GUY IS...???" Because y'all are listening to "The Cars" up north, he says... God, I was just so blown away... I'm a bassist, at that time I'd been playing for around ten years... I started learning all Mahagony Rush songs... To this day, I still warm up sometime with the bass lines from "The Answer" and "New kinda Rock & Roll", and "Door of Ilusion"... Simple bass lines that have such a great energy... If there ever was the complete package, it would be Frank Marino. the guitar playing, song writing, vocals, he was just so far ahead of his time, Thank you Frank, for the last 25 years, you've inspired me musically, more than ANYONE else...............and I've still never seen you play. smilesmilesmileDifficult to choose the best one from all the albums I was lucky enough to find, since I first heard Frank Marino playing. The album was "The Power of Rock and Roll", owned by a friend, in the year of 1982.
It was an imported album and even the smell of the package was wonderful. Since that fortunate lesson of what a guitar hero is made of, I
have introduced Frank's music to all my friends, younger or older than me.
I have chosen "Eye of The Storm" CD as my favorite, just for the fact that it was such a surprise to see a new release after so many years, with so beautiful songs. Even my mother was astonished by his solos on "He's Calling". Well, every single (so called) guitar hero has now played in Brazil (such as Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen, Frampton, Santana, BB King and many others). Please, can somebody tell Frank to include a São Paulo date next tour ? He would be surprised about how much he is admired here. Thanks a lot for being "alive and kicking" while I'm here on planet Earth !!
