Dear Frank,

I recently learned through a friend Kaivalya )Mark) who is one of my classmates from the Uli Jon Roth seminar at UCLA last May, that you were playing at the Galaxy Theatre on October 18th. Well I have never seen you before and I am thrilled to death to hear you play. I rented a balcony at the Galaxy and I am bringing 10 people with me to see you. Some of them are old fans.

I only had your 1978 Live album when I was in high school and wasn't familiar with your other records. Just this week I have listen to 5 of your albums off this website so I might be able to know more of your music when you play it live. Let me say that you play GREAT!!! Hopefully I might meet you before or after the event.

Blessings,

Kent Niepert

Frank, I've been a fan for over 31 years. Seen ya at the Paramount Theater in the last 70's. The Northwest needs the worlds best guitar player to share your Strange Universe. Make a date here again, soon before it's the Land of a Thousand Nights for all of us.

Dear Frank Marino
First I'd like to compliment you on your Real Live ; EXCELLENT!!! I like the way you explain improvisation and jamming, not rehearsing. This is how you make real music and I look up to you as my inspiration ever since 1970. I will be at your show at the House of Blues in Chicago Oct. 12th; I will be moving slow because I just received a liver transplant and I am recovering from it. My wife gave me these tickets as a surprise hoping I will be well enough to attend. I told her I wouldn't miss this for the world. I am very blessed to have this gift of life so I can continue playing my guitar and sharing my music with the Lord and the public. Especially my friends that I jam with. I know House of Blues has passes after the show. It would be a great honor if you would kindly put me and my buddy BoB Mais. on your guest list. Before my transplant I was very sick and went to Michael Schenker and Uli Jon Roth show. My friend Bob Mais. was nice enough to E mail MSG and explain the situation and he accomidated me very well with seating and aftershow to talk and get an autograph.
I would appreciate it if you could do anything to let me know by Oct. 12th or else I'll just see you at the show.
Thank you. MIchael D. Thompson

Frank! I have been playing guitar since 1972. You were my biggest influence and in fact someone told me recently that my style reminds them of you. Of course I have a unique style of my own but your guitar work and tough lyrics were an inspiration to me. I wish I would have pushed harder to make it in music when you still could. Today there are so many and the music industry has changed so much it's impossible. We look forward to seeing you at the Gallaxy on the 18th!!! My wife and I have a rock band and are still going strong. See ya

Hello Frank,

I can't forget the day I played Reflections of War on my 8 track player in my 70' Ford Maverick. Absolutely amazing. I never saw you guys in concert so I don't know what to expect. I also don't know why I even looked at ticketmaster to see what concerts were coming to Atlanta I havent been to a concert in many years. I'm glad I did. Maybe God is in it somehow. See you in October. BTW I was touched by you kindness that you show on your letters toward your fans. God Bless

Hi Frank,
Can't wait until October 29th in Atlanta, Ga.. I am really looking forward to seeing you do your thing. I have been a fan since the 70's. I think back to '76 in Wilkesboro, North Carolina where a friend of mine had a weekend late night radio show on FM radio. I remember taking several of my favorite records to be played for the unsuspecting public....unsuspecting in that I'm sure that the good old boys and girls of the local hamlets were not prepared for the sonic assault and level of musicianship that we blasted in to the night so long ago. Besides your awesome grooves, we exposed them to such tasty morsels as UFO, Be-Bop Deluxe and fellow countrymen Rush and Max Webster. There might have even been some Triumph thrown in there somewhere.....man, it was so long ago and, without a doubt, some of the best times of my life! So Frank, keep doing what you do, knowing full well that are those of us out there that think the music you make is a big part of what makes life worth living. Peace. Doug Cannon, a.k.a. Fataxeman.

Sorry I missed your show in Delaware Park, in Buffalo, NY in 1974. we got there late just to catch the very end of your set. Your name was stencilled on the back of your cabinets letting us know who you were. I have since heard much of your music. ANyway, rock on and keep looking up. jesus is coming for you soon. John 3:16.

4-ever yours,

Larry G

I saw Frank and Mahogany Rush open for someone (can't remember who) back in the late seventies and was blown away! I had never heard of them at the time so I was quite I was just stunned! I remember the finale with the strobe lights and smoke--WOW! I even got to meet Frank and took a great picture of him which I would like to post on the message board when I get my activation code. I was shocked at the huge number of members here too. I did a search for Frank on yahoo wondering if he was still alive and boy! that question was sure answered. Time to replenish my cd collection.

Thanks,
Eric (eccodecco)
