I just found this site after looking playing around downloading some tunes . I went in search of all the versions of Johnny B Goode that I could find . I loved
Frank's version on the live album . My small time band played his version as best we could . I only ever owned one of Frank's albums and it was the live
one with the black cover. I played the crap out of that and then I framed the cover and it hung on my wall for years . I have never seen Frank live or heard
much more of his stuff , but he sure can play and that album is burned in my mind as one of the greatest albums ever . Kevin V.

I saw Mahogany Rush in 1979, with AC/DC and St. Paradise.
I remember Frank yelling, "I Know what you want to hear!" and starting the riff for purple haze... unfortunately I was in my own purple haze. That was the last thing I remember of that night, how I got home I'll never know.
I learned all of my guitar chops from Frank and Jimmy Page. Glad to see he's still around and hope he makes it to Vegas someday.

just hit this sight, cause i was writing a paper on some lesser heard quitarists who really impressed me. the 3 i chose were frank, phil keaggy and roger troutman. i have been lucky enough to have seen all 3 live and was just blown away by all 3, even though all 3 have such different styles

In Franks defense to last the person who wrote down those nasty comments shows that this person does not have the integrity to reveal themself to all of us on this website your true identity. Hiding behind such bashing words of a person who has dedicated himself enormously throughout the years and decades. The only idiot here is you who seems to be a self centered person trying to get attention by writing such crap.
I guess you were looking for attention and got some and I in return I am bashing your credibility like you have done with Mr.Marino.
How many bands are out there with constant changes over the years?
Is Frank's band the only one? I do not think so!
If you are anywhere close to a mature person yourself go ahead and reveal who you really are to make such statements!
I do not see any of his present band members or past make such comments about Frank. In fact he is very much admired and praised.
He is an extremely good person in and out of the music circle business.
So go back in your Hole and suck on some more frozen nuts from the tundra area that you are from!!!
By the way, how does it feel to be trashed and not know whom its from??
You are more like "Not is a Slush".
Get life and do something positive and stop this nonsense!
Oh by the way! Frank Marino Rocks and is a Straight Arrow!

I have loved Mahogany Rush since I saw Frank Marino on Midnight Special or one of those shows in the early 1970's that came on Saturday nights. I immediated bought Strange Universe (which by the way was the song you were playing at the time) and soon bought Maxoom, IV, World Anthem, and so on.....

I was very disappointed when I was in Las Vegas and saw Frank Marino on the marquee. Wrong Frank Marino!

However, I did see you and the new band at Rockefella's in Houston, Texas, I guess about 15 years ago. Super fantastic show!

Please come to Houston soon!

Keep Rocking,

Sincerely,

David R. Lee

I just bought the latest CD (Real Live) and I was amazed by it. I had bought the latest live album from April Wine a few months back and, although AW were good back in the early 80s, on their live album, they sounded like if they only were doing it for the money (which was probably the case...)! But with Frank's album - holy shit - it sounds so great and you can tell the guy loves playing live. He even sounds better than ever! Very good and I'm happy for him. He does deserve it! I hop he will sell tons of copies!!! After all, we were almost neighbors when we were kids!

SALUT FRANK ET LÂCHE PAS! J'ESPÈRE QUE TU REPRENDRAS BIENTÔT LE CONTRÔLE SUR TOUT TON MATÉRIEL! TU MÉRITE UN NOUVEAU SUCCÈS!!! ET JIM EST PROBABLEMENT LA MEILLEURE PERSONNE POUR T'AIDER À Y PARVENIR! Ciao, friend!

I just by chance logged onto your website and was amazed to see you'll be in London on 27th July. Last time I saw you was back in the 80's at Port Vale football club along with Motorhead and Ozzy. Looking forward to seeing the 'mean guitarist' at the Mean Fiddler!

Been a big fan since I saw California Jam 2 on T.V. way back in the late '70s. This was before cable and VCRs. Any time you got a chance to see rock on television, you jumped at it. I tuned in to watch Aerosmith. When Frank Marino came on I was blown away. I was luckly that I had a cassette recorder with me and managed to record it for my friends. We spent the next 6 months searching for all of hos records.
I got to see Mahogany Rush a couple of years later as an opening act for Kansas. I'll never forget it.
