Have been a fan of Frank since I first heard Bottom of the barrel on a promo vinyl LP issued free (with 2 weekly tokens) from Sounds rock magazine (UK) in about 1978 (Dont have the LP but the cover had a Stratocaster mould beening filled with moulton metal. One track per act from CBS I think)

I taped a radio interview with Frank on (Radio Trent / Nottingham England)
he was introducing tracks from the Power of rock n roll LP (poss Port Vale 81)
Interviewee was "Graham Neil" (a dedicated radio rock DJ who asked great questions but had a darker personal side and much later went on to murder his girl friend and top himself in Lincoln prison)
(He was manager of Swiss band Krocus at one time)
Will try an see if I can find the tape

Never ever thought I would see Frank play live but finally saw him play Portsmouth Guildhall November 2002 with Uli Jon Roth (Front row)
Met Frank before the gig, found him very approachable. He was with his wife and three daughters (His autograph is not for sale)

Frank only played a few songs but I was well pleased (great fret work)
A lifetimes ambition achieved

Frank,

I have been a fan of yours since High School in 1974, since my friend bought Child of the Novelty for the cover art, decided that he hated it, and gave it to me, an immense albeit unintentional favor. I recently read a "Where are they know?" feature about you in a guitar magazine and amazingly enough, it was the first time I had ever seen an article on you.

Anyway, thanks for all the great music, dude!

Peace....

I love your music Mr. Marino and I hope to see you perform again. I saw you in San Jose about fifteen years ago and I will never forget it. I love your mix of rock, jazz and blues, though I really love your cover of Johnny B. Goode and King Bee. I would love to see you put out an album of Blues standards and originals. It would probably become an instant classic blues recording.

Thanks so much for your contribution to music!

Frank,
I first saw you at the San Diego Sports Arena in Sept '75. The headliner was Black Sabbath. After the show the 4 of us agreed you should have been the headliner. You kick ass man, and with the right attitude. Funny I.B. where your friiend Willy is from, is about 3 miles south of C.V. I'm 50 now too, hope to see you again sometime. Regards

She is on board now and we have tickets to see you at B.B. Kings in NYC. I can't F__kin wait!!! I can pay you back the money you gave me and my buddy Dave to see you the 2nd night with Johnny and Edgar at the felt forum as well.
You're the best,

Hi there - I saw Frank and the boys way back in 1981 here in England at the "Port Vale heavy Metal Holocaust". They were awesome. Also there were Triumph, Motorhead, Ozzy with Randy Rhoads and others. What a fantastic day!!

I can't recall when I first heard a song played by Frank and Mahogany Rush. I guess it must be more than 25 years ago. I'm 42 now, and I was 15 or 16 I think. I had just discovered the elctric guitar, was devoted to AC/DC, Kiss and Van Halen. Motörhead, Iron Maiden, Saxon and Def Leppard had produced their first album. My big brother had introduced me to Jimi, Deep Purple, Zep and Sabbath. I became a leadsinger and rhythm guitarist in several bands, and I am still today, though most of the songs wel play in our band are not rock songs. A few years ago I rediscovered several tapes I had, from way back when I was a young guy. And I found this cassette with several songs of Frank. My personal favorites are his version of Purple Haze, All along the watchtower, and, most of all, my absolute favorite : Sister Change. At this very moent I'm listening to "Finish Line" and "Sister Change". Thanks for your music, Frank. I hope, maybe some day, you' ll come to Belgium, so I can see that wonderful guitarplayer live...
