Power of rock & roll was the first album I ever listen too. Dutch Antilles 1982.
I saw Frank live at the Paradiso Amsterdam 1984 , absolutly great it was!
Now 21 years later my son of 13 years old is learning to play Poppy on his guitar.

Thanks Frank for your Music and inspiration.
Come over and play in Amsterdam again.

Frank, I've been a fan of yours since 1975 when I took a chance on a weird looking album called Srange Universe. After hearing this mind-blower I discovered Maxoom and Child of the Novelty. Mahogany Rush IV will always be my favorite record of yours because of "It's Begun to Rain." The most beautiful song I've ever heard.

BY ACCIDENT I RAN ACROSS THIS WEBSITE. IT IS HEART WARMING TO FIND
OUT THAT FRANK MARINO IS ALIVE AND WELL. FRANK, YOU WERE THE
REASON I BECAME A GUITARIST. BY HEARING YOUR PLAYING I WAS
COMPELLED TO LEARN TO PLAY. I TOO STOPPED PLAYING IN THE 80'S AND
THEN STARTED PLAYING AGAIN IN THE LATE 90'S. I AM NOT PLAYING CURRENTLY BUT READING THIS WEBSITE HAS GOT MY MUSIC BLOOD FLOWING AGAIN I MUST ADMIT. I AM A FATHER OF TWO LITTLE GIRLS AND A LOVING WIFE THAT HAVE BEEN DROPPING HINTS ABOUT ME PLAYING AGAIN.
AND AFTER READING THIS WEDSITE ABOUT A GUITARIST THAT I LOVE AND
RESPECT DEEPLY...I JUST MIGHT..

TAKE CARE FRANK...MAY GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER!

I'll never forget my best friend stopping by and saying that he had something for me to hear. So we went for a drive in Cupertino California in 1978. he puts on the live album and I was in disbelief at how good Frank was! In retrospect Frank had taken the guitar to a new level that was all his own. I still can't believe he hasn't been fully recognized as the superstar he truely is. I'm very happy to hear Frank is well and still doing it as incredibly as ever. Thank you Frank for all of your creativity!

I now live in the Seattle area and hope tp catch a show soon.

Wow...great to see Frank is still rockin'. I was browsing the photo section of this site and saw the ad from 1979 in San Diego, CA with AC/DC and St. Paradise opening. I WAS AT THAT SHOW......Cool....and that was an awesome show. Also saw Frank and Mahogany Rush at the Fox Theater in San Diego, CA back around 82 or 83 I think....that was also a great show and a cool venue. I just purchased the new album RealLIVE! off of Apple's iTunes Music Store.....only $9.99 for 32 awesome tracks. Thanks Frank for giving us so much cool music.....Keep on playin' man.....I love your music. I'm hoping maybe Frank will get out and play some shows.....maybe in my area? That would be very cool. Anyway...nice site....time to crank up some Live Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush on my iPod....maybe Frank can get more of his albums available on the iTunes Music Store...that's how I buy a lot of my music now. Thanks Guys....Rock On! smile

I just recently received a copy of RealLive and I was completely blown away. I have always been a fan of great guitar music and an admirer of those who have a mastery of the instrument. I regret to say I was living in ignorance of one of the truly great players until last week when I literally stumbled across Frank Marino while looking for something else. I got RealLive and was hooked right from the start, so I have a lot of catching up to do getting the other albums. I haven't listed a favorite album but I hope to have one soon. I'm also inspired by Frank's personal story of recovery and how he first started to play. It was during my early time in sobriety that listening to guitar music kept me straight and inspired to stay that way. Thanks Frank for your gift that you give so freely.

Frank:

I'm 48 years old (used to play guitar) and have been a Frank Marino fan since the 70s. I just bought and listened to your Real Live! CDs, and I'd like to say it's great to have you back! Your guitar playing is as great if not better than ever. I know most music and the music industry of today sucks, but it's good to have you hanging in there. A lot of us really appreciate it! Hope you'll tour near my area soon!
