I first saw Frank play at the Amersmith Odeon in London when I was a young boy, I'm now 56, I thought it was one of the best gigs I'd ever seen. It blew me away. I'd also seen Jimi Hendrix play and must admit Frank did the buisness. I can't really remember the date, but I'm sure it was the Strange Universe Tour...........still a Fan

Mr. Marino is the reason why I picked up a guitar in the first place. When I was 8 or 9 years old, I had the privilege of living in the house right behind his and could hear him play day & night..30 years later I'm still trying to get the same vibes/emotions I was hearing...Not easy...My band might cover "Talkin Bout A Feelin" on our next CD. Hopefully I won't screw it up...

By cahnce cruising the internet before heading to bed - Had just visited official Hendrix Site and decided to type my favorite bands name in - lo and behold a great surprise - keeping me up past my bedtime.
I can say my first album was "Child of the Novelty" bought in 1974 and was hooked. last album I bought was "Full Circle"

thanks for great work you have done on the site

I will be visting again soon - and pass it on to friends who do not know Frank Marino

I would just like to add that in this day of detuned seven string noise, only the very best still stand out, Frank Marino is one of the best of the best and always will be. It takes years to acheive his level of virtuosity and no amount of studio magic available to the new breed of guitar players can make them understand.

There are guitar players, there are guitarists, and then there are musicians that are guitarists, Frank Marino is one of the latter.

Just a note to say I have been a Mahogany Rush fan since the inception of the band. I saw you live in Dallas at the old Bronco Bowl around 78 or so and thought, what is he doing here and not downtown at the Arena.

I have been a longtime player and always drew inspiration from your beautiful playing. Now that I am an older guy, I still pull out a Frank Marino lick or two to impress the tourists on Waikiki. Best wishes and a very successful future. I am ordering the double live set as I write this.

Hello Frank,

I have been a big fan from the seventies. I still have my original Maxoom and volume 4 albums. I am now in the process of getting them on CD and other albums as well. Do you ever tour in upstate New York? What is your latest work you have done? Do you have the same original band members? Boardwalk Lady is a classic of classics. Take care and rock on.

I have been a huge fan since my days in San Diego in the '70's. I own a 1974 Gibson SG Deluxe - due in large part to seeing Frank play one. Now I find myself at 50 and still cling to the vinyl collection of Mahogany Rush. This music has become a part of my life and whenever I listen to the "Black Live" album, it always makes me smile. Thank you Frank. A lifelong fan, Mike

Hi Frank,
Just want to say thanks for getting me a copy of RealLIVE as Jim Glynn had one sent to me from you signed. I love it as it is truly amazing. I met Jim at one of our shows, you see I am Anthony Gomes tour manager and met Jim in Nantaskut Beach, MA back in November of 04". I have been a longtime fan and have seen you as early as 1978 in Chicago and last at the House of Blues a few years back......... you are an amazing player and performer, hopefully I will be able to catch a show soon as I hear you might be hitting the road again.

I wanted to let you know that we are playing in Toronto at Jeff Healey's club on Friday the 11th of this Month and would love to invite you to see the show. Thanks again and best to you!!!

Peace, Tony Basile

The album selected is when I first learned about Frank. I like the fact that he's on his own terms. He doesn't need to be ["Hendix"] influenced. Doin' your own thing is why he is still around. Looking foward to 2005 tour dates! Loyal follower since 1978. Rock On

Hi Frank, I first saw you at the Calif. Jam when I was 18 or so and haven't seen you since. I am a guitar nut, well not really...more of a guitar knob. But, seriously, I wish I knew where I could see you perform again, even if I had to come to Canada. I'm taking my family up thier in the summer so my kids can meet their cousins in Toronto for the first time. Maybe I can see you play then??

Sincerely, one of your biggest fans.
