Frank is the most underated US rock guitarist. From the Hip is the most solid guitar album in decades. Robin Trower is still great but has gone more blues. Frank has stayed with rock with composition skills continuing to grow. Other than Frank, Robin and Jeff Beck, there aren't many masters left. I've been waiting to see you in So Cal for at least 5 years since the last time. I'm glad you didn't leave us in a car crash. Please tour soon!

Dear Frank, I haven't been this inspired by a musician since the likes of Hendrix or Ritchie Blackmore during pre-adolescence. I got the same rush of goosebumps & hallucinations when I first heard Electric Ladyland 16 years ago (when I was 12). I've never heard anything like Mahogony Rush, and it's a shame it took me so long to hear it. Can you give me some tips on your picking technique and your most used scales? Do I need a drill bit to accomplish this awesome task? By the way, come on out to Buffalo some time and blow some of our minds. You're definately the best!!!!!!!

WOW! What a fitting tribute to one of the BEST[& sadly underrated] musicians to ever turn his attention towards Rock!Like many people,"Johnny B. Goode",from the live album,is my first experience;from that point on,I was HOOKED! What can I say?Frank, you`re one in a million! Thanks for keeping REAL Rock guitar alive in an era when the so-called "guitarist" from Silverchair gets guitar magazinecovers & interviews! All the best for the future!![And if you get a chance, stop by and sign my guestbook].PEACE....

I first heard "Maxoom" when I was about 14, in 1985.I don't have it anymore but I remember the song "buddy", it touched me profoundly because I was into hendrix very much at that time. I felt that frank was echoing a deep feeling about jimi that many people had felt. After that I was introduced to "Strange Universe" and "Mahogany Rush IV", one of my friends had recorded it for me and added the song "Ditch Queen" the solo in that one still amazes me today, anyway, thanks for the music frank and come to Vancouver soon...

I first heard of Frank Marino in the late seventies about the time of the big (well to somebody else maybe)new wave era. It was about the same time that Ozzy left Black Sabbath, Blackmore left Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin were on a downhill slide (with all due respect)so it was nice to know that someone decent (to say the least) was left and hadn't sold out to the new wave (yuk) boom of the era and it it's still good to know that Rock isn't dead yet. This web page I must admit is extremely well done and is very impressive, especially the fact that Frank answers his own fan mail. Compared to other websites, this is too good to be true. Nice to see someone who sincerely appreciates his fans for a change. This is the best web page i have ever seen about any musician or for that matter, anything else. Thanks a million, Leslie Bloom

Had a buddy in high school that turned me on to lotsa different artists; Fripp, Bruford, & The Whole Mahavishnu trip. By far the best though was the Mahogany Rush "Live" album. I made a tape of it but some asshole stole it. later I picked up World Anthem & Juggernaut on tape, as I could not find them on CD. My first 3 years of millitary service I would deal with the unbeliviable B.S. by listening to Frank Marino, The Dead & Zappa on a headphones while at sea. When in port, I would drive home to Philadelphia, to party with my friends, then leave around midnight to haul ass back to Norfolk. I would get wired out on serious amounts of strong coffee and crank up the stereo to World Anthem while driving. I would get back to the ship and find a corner to crash in, I would hear the music in my dreams, it was great. My tapes are shot. I go to record shows looking to fill out my Marino collection. Last fall I found an almost virgin copy of World Anthem, & Strange Universe. Still looking for Juggernaut. The Music Matters. Thanks for the tunes Frank, I think they proabably kept me alive a time or two by keeping me on the road and out of a ditch. Jeff

It can't be said enough so I'm gonna say it again 'cause plainly Frank Marino IS one of THEE HOTTEST Guitarists of all time. I am truly blessed to have found this website. I have yet to find any sensible reason why his works are not plastered all over the airwaves (radio), and yet we hear so much shit like Aerosmith etc.. that it makes ya wanna puke yer guts out through your nose. Why don't they play the real good stuff and give FRANK MARINO even a fraction of the enormously huge amount of credit he deserves and has earned? There are not many, yet Frank Marino is indeed a Guitar God. As an example of how little Frank Marino is publicized, the last album of his I was aware of is Juggernaut. I thought he had dissapeared off the face of the earth. And I'm sad to say that the closest I've come to witness a LIVE performance of Frank Marino was several years ago in Salt Lake City at the Zephyr Club, the show was canceled, due to illness I believe.... I cried like a baby, I was bummin' big time. FRANK... if you happen to read this, PLEASE,,, PLEASE come back around. I've just got to solidify in my mind that it's humanly possible to JAM as HARD and SOLID as you do. KEEP ON A ROCKIN!!! Later Days

So, I will have to go and check out your whole site after I dig out one of your old albums and turn it up nice and loud. Shit, I wish I had a joint to smoke too! HA! Thanks for all the years of great music! I think I am going to go out and buy one of your newer albums now! I can't get over this.... Wow! Thanks again Frank, you ROCK! I am going to be sure to send my friends to your site too. I have a few friends who won't believe this....

My desire for this outstanding guitar player came to me in the 70's when my older brother played the 'LIVE' album for me and I was hooked ever since. I moved to L.A. in '92 and met a really great girl -Teresa Howell- and her older brother -Rob Howell- was either Franks guitar tec or a stagehand. I remember being over at his house and he had Franks black SG which I got to play. A VERY COOL THRILL! The only time I ever saw Frank Marino was at the Santa Monica civic Jan. 30th 1983. The Juggernaut tour. I moved back to Portland in '84. Frank, your music is very hard to find in this city. So as long as I still live in this city I am afraid I will never see Frank again, unless I see that he is playing somewhere on the west coast.( Yes, I will go all the way to San Diego if I have to.) So please keep that tour info updated! I'll be checking back in later, talk to all soon!

Started listening back in '78. Saw him a few times and have collected one of the earliest/largest collection of audience recorded audio. Mostly the 72-79 period where Frank ruled asa creative guitar genius. Awesome musician indeed...

He's a great guitar player (maybe the best after SRV). I would like to hear a whole disk of blues from F.M.
