Frank's guitar solo in Dragon Fly off his live album just rocks. I enjoy listing it to very loud and I never get tired of listening to it. Frank let me know when you will be rolling in to San Antonio so that I hear you jam out. Thanks, Iceman

Hellow fellow blues, jazz, rock lovers. I first heard Franks music as the intro for the CFCF TV-12 midnight movie. This station broadcasts out of Montreal, you all know where that is! This had to be around 1976,it was the first "four bars" from Dragonfly. From that point on Frank and Mahogany Rush has always been a major part of my listening and playing enjoyment. I never miss a chance to hear and see Frank in Ottawa, Canada Day/99 was the best ever as Frank burned his old set list and a few new ones, including our anthem "Frank style". Best wishes to all, especialy Frank, and 'rest easy Jimi'.....

Yo Frank: Dude because of you at 38 years of age, I still dig your message, your music, and you are the reason I love and play Gibson SG guitars. I have been a major fan since I saw you with Angel, Mothers Finest, Humble Pie. You killed. By far you shredded and rocked the house. I have most of your records, and CD's. I appreciate you for who you are and what you do. Keep it up. The new record will be huge. Respectfully yours, Craig Williams

Yes oh sire! Your wish is my command. Don't tell me what to do! I have been telling people for years about Frank and his beyond excellent playing but I still get the same response " WHO? ". The sad fact is that 90 % of the American "paying" fans are regressive idiots that think Curt Cobaine and Neil Young are the greatest guitartists that ever lived. They are so brainwashed and burned out that you can not reason with stone age stupidity. Enough crap, I have been"trying" to play several of your solo's like New rock 'n' Roll and King Bee for about 10 years now and I just enjoy the hell out of those tunes FMR Live and IV albums are complete masterpieces. Your influence is one that holds it's own against those who have spoken to Hendrix in a tree. Isn't it great how shit gets spread around. I'm just glad to see that your still alive and making music. I can't wait to run out and buy your new "album" I mean CD.You can tell I'm old. Keep up the good work and I hope to see you in Philadelphia if you tour. Thanks Frank.

I'm fairly new to Franks music. I was turned on to Frank through an old guitar teacher. He said "Hey, you got to listen to this guy". Today I was listening to The Child of the Novelty record which I really enjoy. My favorite tracks are "Talkin bout a feeling", "Guit War", and "Chains of (s)Pace". What I like about Frank's playing is that although he is a virtuoso he places an emphasis on creativity over technical brilliance. There's a lot of speed demon guitarists that personally put me to sleep. I need a good song as well as good guitar. I miss that old 70's hard rock (and I'm not that old). Bands like Mahogany Rush, Grand Funk, and others. You can't beat old fashioned kick ass rock and roll !! Peace, Chris

First saw killer performance in August 1974 in Long Beach, CA w/Aerosmith. Been to just about every show since here, including CALIFORNIA JAM 2. My brother and I were there about 40 feet off to the right of the stage, your left, me standing on an ice chest wearing a blue toque with a white stripe with red letters in the middle.. You can hear us howling and yelling in the right channel on the CAL JAM 2 album, especially during Electric Reflections section of 'Johnny B. Goode'. AND (for those of you who were not at Cal Jam 2)... If you listen closely, you can hear the sound of an airplane engine whizzing by. That isbecause during this section while Frank was dropping bombs and firing his machine gun, THERE WAS AN ACTUAL AIRPLANE FLYING OVER THE CROWD AT ONTARIO MOTOR SPEEDWAY!!!!!! No wonder the crowd went nuts. Picture in your mind, right after you hear the airplane engine whoosh by in the right channel and Frank finishes his first wave of bombs, a small white airplane zooming over the north edge of sea of humanity. Then slowing banking to the right as Frank sounds his guitar like an airplane revving engines. We had never seen anything like this before and will probably never see it again. Thanks for the incredible show on March 18, 1978, Frank. BTW, is thereanything you can do to get this released on video?????Thanks.Alfred in Whittier, CA

Was listening to it in 1973 when I was 13 and still now and trying to get my son into it. Strange Universe was the best metal album then and it still is, bar none, what a mix of sounds. Cant believe the crap they play on radio now, wish they would play MR so a new generation could see what real music is. I was estatic when I found out that Amazon.com has all of the MR CD's, I am in Heaven.

for many years have i been trying to find out what has happened to frank. i know of nobody else in my hometown who loves the music as much as i do.still today i search for the illusive albums i do not have to complete my collection. i listen to heavy metal and it is very very difficult to obtain the music here.the fact that i know now that frank is alive and well is a huge weight off my shoulders and pleases me tremendously.even better that a new album is on its way.the way i feel about franks music is far to difficult to describe.the joy of listening to any one of the albums is overwhelming. the music is perfect, the guitar work is perfect, the man is perfect. there was and will never be a man who can play guitar the way this man does, how could there possibly be.listening to the music brings only joy and happiness.most importantly is the fact that the albums do not age and remain fresh as if they were new. FRANK i love your music , please give us more.you deserve only the best for now and the future and thank you for the fantastic homepage.

October 17, 1988 you were on your MacHappy Tour in London Ontario, playing at Dr. Rockets. I had the great pleasure of sitting with you for a couple of hours before the show at a MacDonald's. Your music has highly influenced my life, I am still into your music however I just saw that I am missing one of them, From the Hip (must find that one). I kinda have a reputation at the local establishments? for singin The King Bee your style. And they love it. Thanks for the inspiration!

The first time i saw Mahogany Rush was October 9th,1977 at the Warner Theater in N.W. Washington D.C. It was sponsored by the radio station D.C. 101. Therefore, the ticket was $1.01. D.C. 101 is also famous for having Howard Stern as a DJ prior to his move to New York. At any rate, Frank Marino was a big part of my teenage years. I can still remember sitting around my room with friends listening to Maxoom (my favorite) or World Anthem. It is amazing how when i hear a particular song by mahogony rush i can remember where i was and with whom. That part of my life was filled with as much fun and excitement as it was with chaos and apprehension. It was the music and specific people in my life that saw me through. Frank Marino and Mahogony Rush was one of the special groups of that time that just touched my soul. Whether i listened to him on records(remember those?)or during a live performace, i was tuned in to his words as much as his guitar. I hope that he will tour in the summer of 99 and play at the concert venue "Great Woods" in Mansfield Ma. I now live 45 minutes from there. Or maybe at the Centrum in Worcester. He and a few other greats from that time could do a real authentic 70s superfest. Mahogony Rush, Robin Trower, Blue Oyster Cult,Ted Nugent, and Rush. If only i had the money and connections to realistically put this ultimate dream of mine together. Anyway, thanks for letting me take your time and some space to reminisce and dream. In closing, i want to thank Frank Marino for his music and the sacrifices that must of been made in order to entertain us so well. Respectfully, From a man who feels he finally has found the "Answer" Robert Petersen
